Top Conservative Says That the GOP Can Simply ‘Crown’ Trump as Speaker of the House in 2022

Raise your hand if you knew that the Speaker of the House did not actually have to be an elected congressman, at least not until the last week or two? Anyone? Nope.

There is a good chance, or at least a 50-50 chance, that the GOP will win back the House in 2022. Everyone knows that, typically, the party out of power in the White House comes roaring back in the midterms. Thus it is that the MAGAs feel confident. They know that once they have the House, they can start impeach’n some folks, starting with Joe Biden and K’am’ala. They will figure out a crime later, but don’t be surprised if they try to tie it to the 2020 election.

Why?

Because that’s what they do. You investigate or punish their guy, they come back and punish you, squared. And they say that they might crown Trump as Speaker the moment they “win.” We don’t suppose it occurred to them that since 2016, Trump has managed to make every election worse for the GOP and the Democrats can use this argument. “If you vote for the MAGA, you’ll see Trump as Speaker!”

That might sway it back to the Democrats. It damn sure would get the Democrats out to vote, though. But Matt Schlapp, head of CPAC, believes that they’re on their way to a win and crowning Trump. Makes sense. The MAGAs are always better and stronger than ever before, just ask them. They have never been stronger! From Mediaite:

“There’s a lot of buzz out there. that Donald Trump would even be potentially someone they’d crown as Speaker of the House if the Republicans get the majority back. I’m not saying that’s a live wire, but it’s an interesting conversation about Trump inserting himself in the fight for the Republicans to get back the majority.”

My god, he’s almost orgasmic. But we like that message on the 2022 campaign trail. “Vote for the Republican so we can crown Trump!”We honestly believe that it would hurt them.

“These rallies are going to have a tremendous injection of positive energy into our politics,”

We worry less about the energy and far more about the twisted rules at the ballot box. But if they want to energize Democrats, too, go ahead. Every time Democrats have been energized, they’ve defeated Trump. Oh, and Trump is not about “positive energy.” He will spend the entire campaign talking about 2020, not 2022. He is about anger and revenge.
