Kayleigh Tells a Whopper of a Lie About Slavery: ‘ALL of Our Nation’s Founding Fathers Were Against Slavery’

It is tempting to say that Kayleigh just can’t help it, she lies like she shops for makeup, instinctively. But that’s not true, she could help it (the lies, not the makeup), she just doesn’t want to. Kayleigh made her money and fame on lies, she uses her lies as a weapon, to inflict pain. And she uses those lies as a rake, to gather the money she makes from inflicting that pain. It’s all done intentionally.

This last weekend, she lied in response to  Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), who slammed the July 4 holiday as a celebration for white people. Rep. Bush has plenty of legitimate criticism to take up with this nation, and white people, as she should in Congress. But her statement was probably a mistake. Yes, the Fourth is certainly much more of a celebration for White people because – obviously – only white people were declared independent on that day. Still, as a U.S. Congresswoman, she probably could’ve picked a better time, even though she didn’t say anything offensive.

Meanwhile, Kayleigh McEnany actually did say something offensive. In just a few sentences, Kayleigh demonstrated why Critical Race Theory is needed in our public schools. Without a real discussion on race, racists like Kayleigh are left to whitewash history and betray a good portion of United States citizens.

Kayleigh addressed Cori Bush’s comments with four other white panelists, saying:

“The haters never take a day off from hating. That is clear and they never take a day off of getting the facts wrong. We know most of our forefathers, all of our main Founding Fathers were against slavery, recognized the evils of it.”

Let’s pretend we don’t know much history at all, just the very basics. George Washington was a “main Founding Father,” perhaps the most “main,” and he owned slaves, which is a weird way of recognizing the evils of it. Thomas Jefferson, another “Main” Founding Father (Probably the most diverse; architect, writer, delegate, president, library of Congress, university founder), and he owned slaves, even had children with slaves. Indeed, according to Britannica, 14 of the 21 traditionally known “Founding Fathers” owned slaves.

So not only did the “main” Founding Fathers own slaves, but – by our math – fully two-thirds owned slaves. Kayleigh should never criticize others for having their facts wrong. It is just another intentional lie.
