Kevin McCarthy, Who Blocked Bipartisan Riot Commission, Cries That Riot Commission is ‘Least Bipartisan Ever’
We cannot figure out if MAGAs never hear the actual news, whether most of them are below average intelligence, or truly don’t care about how hypocritical they sound. We know that the politicians are certainly all three.
The Democrats had every right to insist that – as the majority – they lead the January 6th investigations, but they didn’t. Dems agreed to make the membership and power 50-50. McConnell went to Schumer with six demands, in order to sign on to the deal. Schumer gave McConnell all six. (That is not bargaining, Joe Manchin!) And even after giving McConnell everything he asked for, the majority of Republicans still voted no.
In the House, never every Republican voted no on a neutral investigation.
The Republicans do not want January 6th investigated and we can all take away why that would be. We don’t have the facts yet to say it with certainty, but everything we’ve seen says that the Republicans have a lot to lose if the entire truth comes out.

Now, though, Kevin McCarthy dared to go on Laura Ingraham and complain that the Republicans themselves will not have subpoena power in Nancy Pelosi’s select committee, the exact power that the Democrats offered them just two months ago.

He complains about the “least bipartisan structure they could find” when voting no on total bipartisan structure. They even knew that Pelosi held this as a threat out there. McCarthy also lied. He said that Pelosi is picking all the seats. She left an allotment for McCarthy to appoint, just not a majority or even an equal number.
This is classic MAGA. They are against everything, they don’t have a plan for anything. Trump’s campaign plan in 2020 was to hate the Democrats. McConnell’s plan in rejecting the bipartisan agreement was hating the Democrats, and Trump exists to hate Democrats and people of color.
