Meghan McCain Said it Was Her Choice to Leave ‘The View’ — Turns Out That’s Not Entirely True

Damn. It sounds like we’re not going to be able to make one of our most reliable reminders much anymore. We used to repeatedly say that Meghan McCain may hate Donald Trump for personal reasons, but she is and will remain 100% MAGA. Like all good MAGAs, it sounds like Meghan McCain has no problem lying.

Last week she said she had made a decision (very suddenly) to leave the show at the end of July, she loved her life in Washington D.C. and didn’t want to return to the studio in New York to resume the show. Three of the other hosts acted somewhat surprised and smiled, warmly, Joy Behar couldn’t manage it and her “look” went viral.

Turns out, it is all likely a lie. In truth, the other hosts essentially went to management and said; “We cannot work with her anymore.” According to Queerty:

“Everyone was at their wits’ end,” a source says. “Even Whoopi, and she’s the chillest of them all. Whoopi is never going to advocate for anyone to get fired. She’s not about that, but she was very clear that she no longer wanted to work with Meghan.”

When you lose Whoopi…

Multiple sources say that Goldberg, as well as Joy Behar and part-time conservative co-host Ana Navarro, told producers that they couldn’t work with McCain any longer. She was too toxic and she was making their lives hell.

To say nothing of the 14 viewers who still watched the show.

“It happened as soon as [new ABC News president] Kim [Godwin] came in,” another insider says. “It was right after Joy and Meghan’s huge [on-air] blow-up [in May] where the network called an emergency meeting. They told new management, ‘We don’t want to work with her anymore.’”

The blow-up occurred over a discussion about Matt Gaetz, when Meghan told Joy to stop telling Republicans who to support (As if this should be a controversial or close call) and at that point, Behar pointed out that McCain never missed an opportunity to tell Democrats who they should be supporting and why. It got so hot that The View went to commercial early.

Regardless, Meghan is gone and it is not because she wanted to spend more time in Washington with her family as a new mom. It is because the rest of the hosts didn’t want to share a show with John McCain’s old daughter.
