Trump Rages at Cleveland Indians Name Change, Says It’s Offensive to the ‘Many Indians of Our Country’

Former “President” Trump is supposed to be, as a former president, extremely busy. But he can always take time to address the really important issues of our day, like the Royal Golf Association skipping his golf course, and – a terrible offense, a team using its American freedom as a private company, to change the team mascot due to discomfort in having an increasingly outdated and insensitive name.

The Cleveland “Indians” – with a particularly bad logo in “Chief Wahoo” have done just that, as is their right, and will become the Cleveland Guardians. They could actually still pay homage to Native Americans by referring to them as the original Americans caring for the earth and preservation of their lands as Guardians, should they choose, but it is clearly their choice.

Up with this, Trump wouldn’t put and needed to let Cleveland know that Trump finds this entirely unacceptable. Trump says the people of Cleveland cannot be “thrilled,” to have such a disgraceful thing happen to a storied franchise. He mentioned that this name goes back to 1915 and thus should be preserved.

They took trains in 1915, now they fly. Should they have changed such a historic means of getting to games? They had different stadiums back in 1915, should they have stayed in the same one? Back in 1915 black men couldn’t play in the Major Leagues, should they go back to that storied tradition. or is this all just confined to a team changing it’s name to not offend people who are offended by the name?

Yeah, well, this is supposed to be a very busy man. We suppose, though, that this is exactly what he’s busy with. The red meat to feed the fanbase.
