Twitter Rips Marjorie Taylor Greene for Using Dumb Scooby-Doo Meme on House Floor

We get it, we get it. Marjorie Taylor-Greene is not worth covering. We hear it in emails all the time and yet the numbers prove otherwise, everyone loves to be entertained. Besides, this column isn’t about Marj – not mainly – it’s about one of the best Saturday morning cartoons ever invented, Scooby-Doo, and the character (the blonde good-looking white guy, because it’s Marj), was doing in a prop on the House Floor today.

It appears to us that Marjorie believes that the green new deal is a gift to China. Of course, it’s a gift to China because Exxon signed a $500 billion deal with Russia for rights offshore of Siberia! A Green New Deal would be a death blow to the Russian economy, such as it is, and Republicans don’t want to upset Russia. Thus China is the bad guy! Just like in the cartoon, it’s exactly the guy you’d expect.

Somebody had to be the bad guy. It is not Russia, and Peru really wouldn’t work, so China!

Yes, China makes solar cells, and other elements needed to bring about a renewable economy. But a massive portion of the infrastructure deal currently before Congress is meant to bring that business back to the United States and make this country the center of the world’s green economy.

Ha, we’re sorry. We started talking facts. This is all silly, we’re pretending facts matter while discussing a meme that involves a character from Scooby-Doo, which should say everything one needs to know about the seriousness with which we should take this:

Was the crisis in Afghanistan surrounding the pull out of American Troops Biden's fault or Trump's fault?

If one must put Scooby-Doo up on placards in what used to be (before it was ransacked) one of democracy’s most sacred places, why couldn’t she include Scooby? And the meme is just too lame, “What’s really sad is that we likely would’ve gotten away with that Green New Deal – in partnership with China – were it not for those meddling kids!”

And on, and on, and on.
