Adam Schiff Says Mark Meadows and Steve Bannon Will Face Criminal Charges if They Resist Subpoena

It is very hard to believe it has taken this long for the first January 6th Congressional subpoenas and the first court cases have been filed to determine the breadth of executive privilege and possible expedited process from there. Everything feels five to four months too late.

It is conceivable that Democrats wanted Republicans on the committee so badly they gave in to every one of the six demands made by Republicans. The GOP said “No” anyway. It seemed like it took three months to keep the Dems’ heads from spinning. These were MAGAs now. There would be no joint investigation. Only anti-Trump Republicans like Liz Cheney, a “RINO” in Trump’s mind now., would work on the investigation.

Two major subpoenas will be tested this week in the service going out to Steve Bannon and Mark Meadows, but not the others. Pay attention, Trump might be telling us who might have damning information on him (in our opinion) and who knows just how damning that road goes.

Adam Schiff went out of his way to reiterate the importance that these people comply with the subpoena, and that they will not go to jail. They need only show up in front of this judge ahead of the hearing with proof they’re challenging the subpoena. It is probably still a good idea to show up and assert your right to challenge the subpoena.

What Schiff is likely trying to do more than anything is to cut through the wall that exists in the executive branch, whereby Eric Holder didn’t mind being held in contempt of Congress and the Trump administration yelled “Executive privilege” every chance they got. Schiff is saying; “This is different.” “You have to come, you have to answer questions.

Our friend over at Politicususa agree:

It is a different world now for Trump and his associates. They have no political power, and for those who were subpoenaed, Trump has offered them no help or assistance. Trump can’t ignore this investigation, and he no longer has the platform to delegitimize it.

Things should start getting interesting sooner rather than later and some serious punishment needs to be handed out.
