Rioter Compares Blocking Biden’s Inauguration to an ‘Exorcism:’ Judge Is Not Convinced

We have reported extensively on the sentences being handed down on the garden-variety rioter and have noticed a pattern in those sentencing documents and rioters.

We have yet to run into a faculty member from Princeton, a theoretical physicist, or an appellate court judge from the 9th Circuit among the protesters that, we were assured, make up the “real Americans” that simply want their country back. Given the thousands of people involved from all over the country, it’s a bit odd  that we don’t see what one would consider a true mix of Americans.

We say that before we mention the more obvious fact that 99.9% of the rioters belong to a particular race and background. But we’ve yet to run into anyone who believed that the riot itself was some kind of cleansing, a deeply spiritual cleansing, one that would rid the nation and its government of pure evil, Satanic demons.

If one looks around at the ultimate lack of success in the riot, one is forced to conclude that Brit Dillon of Maryland believes that our current government is run by demonic forces. That would be a disturbing thing, if true. But we are not too worried:

Three months home detention seems to be a safe place for Brit. Jails and prisons are run by the government and that really would be terrifying, given that the inauguration went through swimmingly. Some of us even believe that the country has now seen the light and that angels have descended down to save us from what was becoming a very dark path.
