SHOCK POLL: 60% of Republicans Still Want the Election Overturned

A recent poll from Politico/Morning Consult showed that over half of Republicans still hold the crazy belief that the 2020 election was based on fraud and should be overturned. Interestingly enough, there was also a huge gap between female and male voters, with a much higher percentage of women voting yes.

This is a shocking discovery. While the rhetoric of election fraud is still being enforced by many conservatives, even some prominent GOP politicians, it no longer holds the same media attention, and therefore seems less relevant. This data proves otherwise, showing that the overwhelming majority of Republican voters have not budged in their beliefs, especially women.

Out of the Republicans that took the survey, 51% of the men voted that the election “probably” or “definitely” should be overturned, in comparison with 66% of republican women. Why women are more likely to have this opinion remains a mystery, but the numbers clearly show a disparity between the genders on the issue.

Other questions were also asked in the survey, with the intention of finding out how much this particular issue could influence voters in upcoming elections. The results showed that this could be a key issue for many Republicans when it comes to their voting choices in the 2022 midterm elections.

The issue with this response is that it could discourage Republican candidates from speaking out against the false claims made by Trump and his associates. Even if a candidate disagrees with the election fraud claims, it appears that saying so publicly could hurt their chances of being voted into office.

It is harrowing to see that the harmful and simply untrue election fraud claims are still having such a profound impact on American voters today. Most U.S. citizens were hoping to see the ridiculous and untrue rhetoric end after the January 6 Capitol insurrection, but it appears that the consequences will not be going away anytime soon.
