Surprise, Surprise: Jared Kushner in Talks With Saudi Arabia to Receive $2 Billion for Investment Firm

It was always about the money.

It was about the money for Donald Trump as President, it was about the money for Ivanka and her Chinese patents, it was about the money for Eric Trump and advertising their properties, it was about the money for Junior with book sales and other grifting off the RNC, but Jared Kushner, Kushner really needed the money. He had money issues going in and he knew exactly where he’d likely get it as he befriended MBS, like they were made for each other.

It was always about the money and it is still about the money according to MiddleEastEye:

Jared Kushner, former White House adviser and son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump, is reportedly in talks to receive upwards of $2bn from Saudi Arabia for his private equity firm, according to the journalism studio Project Brazen.

The studio, founded by former Wall Street Journal reporters, reported that the money will come from Riyadh’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which is chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the fund for the equity firm could eventually reach up to $5bn. However, the target size is unclear.

Chump change for Saudi Arabia, life-changing for Jared Kushner. And who knows, maybe Saudi thinks Jared can run a decent firm with all his connections. Maybe it’s a down payment in case the Trumps make it back into power. But it was always about the money.

The Saudi embassy in Washington did not respond to Middle East Eye’s request for comment on the matter. Sources told the reporters that Kushner has been debating how to limit the impact of having Saudi Arabia as a key investor in the new investment firm.

Yeah, it’s a little bit delicate, what with it so obvious that Jared’s best bud was coming through with what is a massive amount of money for Kushner’s firm but again, really not all that much for the House of Saud, probably a decent investment, just in case. But it is definitely something they’d prefer to keep out of the pages of the New York Times, though we suspect it will be in tomorrow or the next day. We were lucky to pick it up off Twitter directly from the source. It is too much money to hide.

It was always about the money.
