Trump is Blaming the Government HE WAS IN CHARGE OF for Not Stopping the Capitol Riots

If you have to give Donald Trump credit for one thing, it’s his ability to always keep surprising you. Truly.

His most recent jaw-dropper is that he is blaming his own government and administration for not stopping the Capitol riots.

Say what?

Trump hit back at the House’s January 6th probe by saying it was just an attempt to distract Americans from President Joe Biden’s failings and said the riots at the Capitol would never have happened if intelligence warnings were listened to and followed.

Lawmakers are stepping up pressure on Trump, subpoenaing his close aides and requesting White House documents, and this is obviously making Trump rather nervous, which is why we are seeing daily statements from Trump about the Jan 6th investigation.

Members of the Select Committee to Investigate the Jan 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol now say they will prosecute anyone refusing to cooperate.

“The highly partisan Unselect Committee is just a sideshow to distract America from massive failures by Biden and the Democrats,’ said Trump in a statement released by his spokesperson.

“What happened to the Capitol would have never happened if the people in charge did their job and looked at the intelligence.”

“They abandoned the officers on the ground, just like Biden abandoned Americans in Afghanistan. Instead of holding bad leaders accountable, the Democrats are going after innocent staffers and attacking the Constitution.”

Again, say what??

This was HIS GOVERNMENT. It was his government until noon on January 20th. But Trump was too busy screaming about the Big Lie and bamboo ballots and Dominion voting machines to care about anything else. His own head of intelligence John Ratcliffe was tasked with investigating whether NEST thermostats from China were changing votes from Trump to Biden. If his intelligence officials were warning him that something was going to happen on January 6th and he did nothing to prevent it or at least tamp down the heat, well, that’s presidential malpractice and he’s one guilty man.

Twitter had a field day with Trump blaming his own government, starting with my favorite Congressman, Adam Schiff (and someday we will get into the fact that Schiff’s neck isn’t thin? Can someone please explain why Trump called him a pencil neck? Is that some alpha thing, to say a man has a skinny neck? Help a girl out, please!):
