Listen as Trump Raged and Hung Up During NPR Interview After Being Called Out for His Election Lies
NPR takes a great deal of pride in saying that Steve Inskeep had been hoping to interview Donald Trump for five years. Donald Trump would probably rather go on Rachel Maddow than NPR. At least he could tell his followers that Rachel spoke in a language that he has never heard before and that she has some freaky agenda. What is he going to say to NPR? “I should’ve pulled the plug on you when I had the chance?”
Well, Inskeep probably would have loved to have asked; “How much pain are you in because you got your ass kicked by Joe Biden in the free and fair election in which there has never been a single piece of evidence as to any significant fraud?” Similar questions were asked, but more “NPRish.”
Now we skip ahead to the part about endorsements, which really set Trump off:
INSKEEP: “If I can just move on to ask, are you telling Republicans in 2022 that they must press your case on the past election in order to get your endorsement? Is that an absolute?”

TRUMP: “They are going to do whatever they want to do — whatever they have to do, they’re going to do, but the ones that are smart — the ones that know, you take a look at.
Again, you take a look at how Kari Lake is doing, running for governor. She’s very big on this issue, she’s leading by a lot.
People have no idea how big this issue is, and they don’t want it to happen again. It shouldn’t be allowed to happen, and they don’t want it to happen again.”
Inskeep tried to ask another question, probably something about “if people have no idea how big this is, why is it so hard to prove. Big things are usually noticed. If the sun didn’t come up tomorrow, people would notice and they wouldn’t want it to happen again.”
But Trump didn’t want to hear another question and simply said:
“So Steve, thank you very much. I appreciate it.”
In other words, Trump spoke exactly like how you’d speak to the anonymous person on the other end of the line trying to sell you an extended warranty on your car.
Not a good look for Trump. He should stick to Hannity where everything is real.
