Melania Has a New Grift and This One is Just as Bad as the Last One (if Not Worse)
It seems there’s just no grift Melania Trump can resist (hey y’all I made that rhyme. Unintentionally, of course.) Parler, the right-wing site beloved by QAnoniacs, white supremacists, and other types of Trump supporters has announced a “new arrangement” with the former first lady that will involve her sharing “exclusive communications” on the social media platform.
Parler also said it is already powering her website MelaniaTrump.com and added that she will share “exclusive communications on Parler,” Queerty.com reports.
“In the time that Parler and Mrs. Trump have been working together, we have found a new level of productivity and engagement with both her, her team, and her brand,” Parler CEO George Farmer announced in a statement Wednesday.
How cute. Melania has a “brand” now. Even though all she really does is sell NFTs on her website. But it’s anyone’s guess if she’s really selling them because Vice reports that the sale of her most recent NFT was bought for $170,000 by the NFT’s creator, who is, um, probably Melania herself.
That led Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Melania’s former friend and senior advisor to wonder:
Follow the💰from the Sale of Melania’s $170,000 NFT. The WINNER of Melania’s NFT got the💰from none other than the CREATOR of the NFT itself, & an address linked to the NFT CREATOR got the💰back.
That’s a 360 degree sale!
Did @MELANIATRUMP buy it? https://t.co/iwSQqg59ot— Stephanie Winston Wolkoff (@SWinstonWolkoff) February 9, 2022

Melania released her own statement Wednesday, saying she’s “excited and inspired” to be working with Parler because she believes it “empowers its users to foster productive discourse.”
So does that include the MAGA militia, which (cough-cough) was discovered to have used the platform to embolden domestic terrorism and plan the failed Capitol siege?
But apparently, Melania is unbothered by this fact.
“I am excited and inspired by free speech platforms that give direct communication to people worldwide,” she said. “Parler has been on the forefront of utilizing Web3 technology and empowers its users to foster productive discourse.”
Of course, Melania still has accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram but it isn’t known at this point if her partnership with Parler will impact her activity on these three platforms, Queerty reports. Of course, hubby Donald Trump will be rolling out another social media platform, Truth Social, and it’s also unclear if Melania will have any involvement here. But if Truth Social, scheduled to last later this month, is like any of his other platforms, it should be gone in a week or less.
As you might expect, Twitter users have some thoughts about Melania’s new partnership.
