Twitter is as Furious as Ever: Rittenhouse Tells Tucker Carlson He’s Forming Organization to Sue Media for Lies
From NPR, we set out what has been called “The Tucker Carlson Defense:”
Just read U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil’s opinion, leaning heavily on the arguments of Fox’s lawyers: The “‘general tenor’ of the show should then inform a viewer that [Carlson] is not ‘stating actual facts’ about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in ‘exaggeration’ and ‘non-literal commentary.’ “
She wrote: “Fox persuasively argues, that given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statement he makes.”
Thus, Tucker Carlson is on the record in court taking the position in a lawsuit against him for LYING, that no reasonable viewer could possibly expect Tucker to be telling the truth with respect to the facts cited on the show. Repeat, Tucker has been sued for lying about people and responded; “I lie, and every smart person knows it, so it’s your fault for believing me” (Paraphrased).
Comes now, Kyle Rittenhouse, upset that he believes the media lied about him (Perhaps some did, we don’t know which specific accusation he is making. But saying he murdered people – prior to a jury finding him not guilty – is not a lie, it’s an opinion. A jury doesn’t find a person innocent, it finds that the government did not have the facts to prove he was guilty. Some interpret that as innocence, but really it’s no more than simply not having the correct evidence.)

*We are going to hold ourselves to the same legal discipline. Below there are a couple of tweets that say he’s a murderer. No. He committed homicide. But not all homicide is a crime. Murder is a legal term of art and he is not a murderer. He may be a killer, someone who committed homicide. But he is not a murderer. We MUST respect the law if we expect others to.
Rittnehouse is telling Tucker that he’s starting an organization to hold the media accountable for their lies. Breathe in the irony as Tucker sits there nodding, highly concerned, as if this is something that has long bothered him, too.

And Twitter threw its flaming arrows with two major elements. One, Rittenhouse is going to get in on the grift. And two, he is saying he’s going to sue the media for doing what Tucker says he does.
Two of a kind. And America loves them both. How pathetic. https://t.co/YuaIoEbcyX
