New Book Reveals That Melania Trump is Just as Awful and Petty as We All Knew She Was

Apparently, there’s even more dumb drama behind that Melania Trump Vogue story than we previously thought. It appears the acrimony runs deeper than reported earlier, Queerty reports.

A new biography reports that Melania was so out of sorts that Anna Wintour didn’t personally reach out to her before visiting her husband after his 2016 presidential election victory that she refused to meet with Wintour.

In the book Anna: The Biography, due out this week, fashion reporter Amy Odell writes that Melania was “so offended” that Wintour didn’t contact her directly, that she didn’t even bother to say “hello” when the famed Vogue editor-in-chief stopped by Trump Tower to congratulate the president-elect.

Melania Trump was ‘so offended’ Anna Wintour didn’t reach out before a 2016 Trump Tower visit that the former first lady ignored her.

Odell interviewed Melania’s former friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who told her that Wintour, who supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, “begrudgingly reached out” to Ivanka Trump, an acquaintance, to arrange a meeting with the Trumps after the election.

But Melania, a former model, considered Wintour a friend, and that’s where the rub comes in. The former first lady was deeply offended when Wintour didn’t contact her.

“Melania didn’t understand that she had been invited to Anna’s events not because she was a friend, but simply because she had appeared on the February 2005 cover of Vogue,” Odell writes.

That wasn’t the only fun to be had, however.

Odell writes that Wintour’s team “tried twice, once before Trump’s inauguration, and once after, to photograph Melania for Vogue. But in part, since they wouldn’t guarantee a cover, Melania wouldn’t do it.”

Melania Trump slammed Anna Wintour as ‘insecure and small-minded’ after Wintour said she wouldn’t put Melania on the Vogue cover.

Michelle Obama, who preceded Melania, was featured on Vogue’s cover on three separate occasions. I’m sure that also gets under Ms. Trump’s skin as well. And if you remember, in her book Melania and Me: The Rise And Fall of My Friendship With The First Lady, which hit the shelves in September 2020, Winston Wolkoff tells a similar story, noting that Melania wasn’t offered the Vogue cover, and it made her angry.

“I don’t give a f*ck about Vogue or any other magazine,” she reportedly said. “They would never put me on the cover. All these people are so mad.”

Wolkoff said Melania claimed the magazine’s editors were jealous that she still looked good even though many designers refused to dress her.

Current first lady Jill Biden has also made an appearance on Vogue’s cover.

Now that Melania’s out of the spotlight I have to wonder if she still acts so petty. I’m sure she does.
