Sweaty Trump Starts His NRA Speech by Making it All About Himself, ‘Unlike Some, I Didn’t Disappoint You by Not Showing Up!’

Donald Trump is speaking at the National Rifle Association on Friday, and chose to go ahead with his speech despite the deadly shooting at a Texas elementary school that killed 21 people.

Earlier in the day, Trump spoke to Sebastian Gorka and said, “It will be a very interesting, interesting time to be making such a speech, frankly.”

“Then on Saturday night, I am going to Wyoming to campaign against Liz Cheney, who is absolutely atrocious, the job she has done,” Trump continued, connecting the NRA speech with his political advocacy.

“Friday night, I will be in Houston, and I will be making a speech and discussing a lot of the things you would agree to,” he added.

“You have to give that Second Amendment great protection because, without it, we would be a very dangerous country,” Trump concluded.

Just so freaking gross.

And Trump did the speech of course. The clips are just coming in now, but this is how Trump began, by making it all about himself:

He didn’t want to disappoint people? What about those 19 dead children you freak? Did you ever think of them or their families? That’s rhetorical of course. We know the answer.

These people, Donald…have you looked at their faces?

Yes, we are placing this image in every story about Uvalde. We want you to see their faces. God, they mattered.

People on Twitter were disgusted, rightfully so:
