Trump Rips Musk, Predicts Musk Won’t Buy Twitter: ‘Over Priced, Too Many Bots, Nothing There’

For those who haven’t heard, Elon Musk has put his purchase of Twitter on temporary hold. Regular readers will note that this site continued to point out the 8-16% price difference between traded value at $46 per share, versus Musk’s offer of $54 per share. It would seem obvious, would it not, to buy one million shares (If you had the money) and made $80-160K on the deal over four to five months? But savvy investors knew there were still huge hurdles.

It was also obvious that Elon had made an impulse buy and hadn’t done his due diligence. Moreover, Elon didn’t know that Tesla stock would plummet upon the news, draining a lot of Musk’s wealth. (His wealth is disproportionately based on Tesla stock). And, of course, now that crypto-currency is about to drop off the ledge and lead the globe into a panic, crypto-lover Musk wants a time out.

Elon Musk Says $44 Billion Twitter Deal Is ‘on Hold’ Over Bot Questions as New SEC Probe Opens

He says it is because he wants an audit of Twitter’s percentage of spam and bots. That’s a good idea, that’s part of valuation that is part of due diligence. Really, Elon just wants to slow things down and perhaps give himself an out. From CNBC:

Elon Musk announced Friday that his Twitter deal is on hold until he receives more information about how many fake accounts there are on the social media platform.

Twitter’s stock plummeted 18% following the announcement. A spokesperson for Twitter did not immediately respond to a CNBC request for comment.

Tesla CEO Musk announced last month that he intends to buy Twitter for $44 billion and he’s previously tweeted that one of his main priorities would be to remove “spam bots” from the platform.

And MAGAs heads explode. Except one one of them, Chief MAGA, seems to be happy. Donald Trump is trying to push Truth Social and knows that Truth Social is truly shot if Elon buys Twitter and lets the MAGAs run free, including Trump. So Trump felt the need to share some of his vast financial and economic expertise. (Remember, this man broke Atlantic City, along with an airline, a university…)

There is no way Elon Musk is going to buy Twitter at such a ridiculous price especially since realizing it is a company largely based on BOTS or Spam Accounts.

Fake anyone? By the time you get rid of them, if that can even be done, what do you have? Not much?

If it weren’t for the ridiculous Billion-Dollar breakup fee, Elon would have already been long gone.

Just my opinion, but Truth Social is MUCH better than Twitter and absolutely exploding, incredible engagement.

Just his opinion. His is much better. Forget that Republicans have done everything possible under law, and perhaps going over the edge, to get Trump back on Twitter.

Musk has said he doesn’t think Trump should be the candidate in 2024, as he is too divisive.

Now Trump wants Twitter to keep Musk out and be full of rules that ruin all the MAGA fun but maintain the site’s integrity. Meanwhile. Truth Social will be the wild west where it’s all on! And by the way, if anyone wants to know who is most responsible for those bots and spam, one might look to the country sponsoring Trump’s political business, Russia, and Trump’s “80 million followers.”

Just his opinion. But also, remember, there’s no love lost between Elon and Trump. Musk has already said he’d prefer a less divisive candidate in 2024.
