‘ASK GEORGE!’: Things Get Awkward When Kellyanne Conway is Asked Whether Trump Was Worth the ‘Strain on Her Marriage’

There is an Academy Award awaiting someone who can write a screenplay that tells the story of the Conway marriage. Of course, it’ll be rejected as too far-fetched, even if it was a documentary.

Kellyanne has made it no secret that she puts the entire blame upon George, who – from all the court papers that haven’t been filed, appears to still be her husband. As Kellyanne sees it, their wedding vows were such that George should not have been publicly criticizing Trump.

As if that were not bad enough, as Megan has reported already today on this very site, Kellyanne is part of a shadow government that is already preparing to take over on January 20th, 2025, with either Trump or another Republican at the helm. The Republicans did not expect to win in 2016 and were caught flat-footed and flat-brained in that Trump didn’t even know where to begin once he won. (Does anyone else remember the look of abject fear in Trump’s eyes on the night he won n 2016?) The fact that a formal group is formed already and is putting people in certain positions and making plans of action is more than a bit terrifying. One wonders if they “know” they will be in office. Kellyanne is part of that group.

Yeah, Trump was not a fan of George Conway.

Regardless, NPR recently interviewed Kellyanne, who is ever-promoting her book, and asked Kellyanne if working for Trump was worth all the strain on her marriage. Kellyanne demonstrated how it was that she could easily work for Trump by doing what Trump would do, blaming her husband:

INTERVIEWER: “You have a lot of fond memories, you seem to have, before the Trump — before you working for Trump and Trump turning so far to the right,” Erbé said. “You husband supported him, but I think when he saw what he was spawning with people believing conspiracy theories and your husband turned against Trump.”

“Was it worth it?”

CONWAY: “You should ask him that because he’s the one spending his time — he’s sent of 100,000 tweets,” she said. “So you should ask him that.”

A follow-up question from Political Flare, Ms. Conway: “He sent 100,000 tweets because the president was, in Judge Luttig’s words, a ‘clear and present danger to democracy,’ so it would seem that your husband was smart enough to see this coming and, given the violent transfer of government, you were not. So we ask you, not the man who saw it coming; Was it worth it?”
