We heard this phrase throughout the Trump years, and it continues with the GOP. The cruelty is the point.

As you probably remember, last Wednesday, Republican senators blocked a veterans health bill they had already passed weeks before. Which is weird, right? GOPers claim to love our vets. But yet, they blocked this bill that would’ve helped our veterans. And some of the senators, including the God-awful Ted Cruz, even fist-bumped over it. Since the vote, and being called out repeatedly for it, they’ve been desperately trying to defend their decision. Some have falsely claimed that the bill was altered. However, one senator flat-out admitted they were using the lives and health of veterans just to own the libs.

In response to a tweet from Joe Biden about the bill, which is called the Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act, or the PACT act, Texas senator John Cornyn attempted to slam Biden, but only sendup humiliating himself and pissing off a lot of people in the process.

Cornyn tweeted, “Mr President, passage would not have been delayed if Senator Schumer had kept his promises. Good news is, despite his mendacity, it will pass this next week.”

Nice, huh? Cornyn is flat-out admitting the bill was blocked because they were BIG MAD. They blocked it out of spite. So mature. And people on Twitter were freaking disgusted.
