Twitter OUTRAGE: Rioter Who Wanted to Shoot Pelosi ‘In the Friggin’ Brain’ Only Gets 60 Day Sentence

This is truly outrageous.

First of all, any insurrectionist that made it into the Capitol that day should be getting no less than 30-60 days for simply being in the Capitol. And though this site often preaches, “trust judges, most are good people that know the case better than you,” there are exceptions. In this instance, and this case involving a rioter who invaded the Capitol, the rioter specifically said she wanted to put a bullet in ‘Pelosi’s friggin brain’ filmed herself while doing it, originally lied to the FBI, and told her kids to delete the video:

A Pennsylvania woman who entered the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot and later recorded herself saying she wanted to shoot House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “in the frigging brain” has been sentenced to 60 days behind bars.

Dawn Lee Bancroft, 59, of Doylestown was also sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours of community service and ordered to pay a restitution of $500.

Bancroft told the court that she regretted her decisions, explaining that her gym she owns had lost its CrossFit affiliation since she was charged and that she and her adult children have often been harassed or threatened. In May, Bancroft won a primary race to be the Republican candidate for committeeperson in Doylestown Borough’s 2nd District.

Bancroft said, “We were looking for Nancy to shoot her in the frickin’ brain, but we didn’t find her.” Nice lady.

She “regrets her decisions”? It would be very interesting to review what she said in campaigning in that primary and whether there is anything about Trump winning the election, any mention that she was at the Capitol that day, etc. Additionally, though it is normal and proper for judges to take into account what a crime may have already cost a person (her gym ‘affiliation’), sixty days just isn’t sufficient.
