Americans Demand Marjorie Taylor Greene Return the $183K She Borrowed From Taxpayers, ‘Pay Back Your PPP Loan!’
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) either has a short memory or likes talking out of both sides of her mouth. I’m not sure which. She’s currently complaining about Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan, calling it “completely unfair.”
Even though records show that her own company had a whopping $183,504 in Paycheck Protection Program loans in 2020, Insider reports.
The Biden administration announced plans Wednesday to forgive $10,000 in student loan debt for the majority of borrowers, making good on one of his campaign promises. Relief will also be extended to millions currently mired in debt. U.S. residents who earn less than $125,000 a year are eligible for loan forgiveness.
Quite obviously this will help millions of Americans, but that’s not in Marjorie’s purview. Instead, during an interview on Newsmax TV, she complained the plan was unfair to taxpayers who haven’t taken out a student loan. She also said she was opposed to the student loan program from the get-go, saying “There should not be a system in place that allows them and encourages them to pile up massive debt in these big colleges and universities.”
But the tracking site ProPublica, which uses data from the Small Business Administration dug up a little dirt on Greene and found she was one of several Republican members of Congress whose private loans were forgiven. According to the data, the total amount forgiven was $183,504, meaning there was full forgiveness of the original $182,300 loan, plus the accrued interest.

On her website, Greene claims she and her husband, Perry Greene bought her family’s construction company, Taylor Commercial, Inc., prior to her election.
Greene also slammed the Biden administration for simply using this as a political trick to bring in more Democratic votes during the midterm elections.
While she’s busy complaining about this, perhaps she might want to remember that $92,000 car she bought using campaign donations. Maybe she’s forgotten about this. Or maybe she’s just a hypocrite.
Here’s a clip of the interview below.

Twitter also had some thoughts, and they were quite angry:
Marjorie Taylor Greene says "itโs completely unfair" for the federal government to forgive loans.

If Marjorie Taylor Greene thinks itโs โnot fairโ that she has to pay for student loan forgiveness, then it sure as shit isnโt fair that we have to pay for her PPP loan either.

You're right, Marjorie, it's completely unfair that some woman named Marjorie Taylor Greene had her $180,000 PPP loan forgiven.
I assume she'll be repaying that loan to make it fair, right?

Marjorie Taylor Greene is going on a tirade against $10,000 worth of student loan forgiveness.
Funny how she had no problem with her companies $180,000+ PPP loan being forgiven.

If Marjorie Taylor Greene thinks that 10K student debts should be DENIED, she should set the example and REPAY her $183,504 for PPP!

I donโt respect Marjorie Taylor Greene or whatever her name is getting a free, taxpayer paid-off $183,504 PPP loan while driving around in a $95K gas guzzling truck. #MAGAmeltdown https://t.co/pQUZW2GyCI pic.twitter.com/je4RkZVGfy
