Don Jr. Argues it Would Be Better if His Father Kept the Nuclear Codes, Instead of Biden

Way back in 2016, there was an article in “The Onion” (I looked to link, promise, couldn’t find it), in which it said, “Barack Obama decides to keep nuclear codes in his wallet,” and with Hillary running against Trump, the premise was that everyone would find it funny that stable, no drama Obama, would believe it best to keep the nuclear codes himself and the country would agree.

It was a spoof. It was a joke. It wouldn’t be considered, obviously. The American people decide who will be president even if Trump lost the popular vote. Whether it is a good idea for one person – any single person – to carry that kind of responsibility in one’s hands is a good idea or not is another argument for another column. (It is not a good idea).

Apparently, in rebuttal to his father keeping documents pertaining to national security secrets and nuclear documents, in particular, Don Jr. argued in a way that only Don Jr. could argue that it would be best if his dad kept the nuclear codes. Yes, Don Junior believes that his father is so essential to national security that even though the American public voted his ass out of office, it’d be better if Trump just kept them.

It is amazing to consider the same argument if Obama actually “kept them” from Donald Trump and how the MAGAs would feel about that. Of course, it’s all a joke because it couldn’t happen. Only Don Jr. takes the joke seriously:

By the way, for the record, I’d say that if Donald Trump actually still had the nuclear codes, it’d probably be good. Our enemies might actually be like, ‘ok, maybe let’s not mess with them,’ unlike when they look at Joe Biden and they say, ‘you know what, we should attack now.’”

Can we all agree that the moment the nuclear codes passed from Donald Trump to Joe Biden, the entire world took a deep breath? Let’s take this crazily out of partisan politics. If Donald Trump handed the nuclear codes to Ted F’ing Cruz, the entire world would take a deep breath.

Yes. It is that bad.

Fortunately, Donald Trump’s crimes go much deeper and to the extent that Trump believes that the country is better off with him keeping watch over some Top Secret SCI documents? Good. Let him fight that.

And it isn’t the first time Junior has brought it up:
