George Conway Says ‘Ultimate Narcissist’ Trump is in Serious Trouble: ‘This Could Be the Thing That Takes Him Down’

It’s fun to see George Conway clearly relishing former President Donald Trump’s increasingly unpleasant situation, and during an interview on CNN if Trump didn’t turn over official documents when he left the White House because “he’s the world’s ultimate narcissist.” This has also led him to suggest this failure to do so could be Trump’s downfall, Mediaite reports.

Unless you live under a rock you already know the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago on Monday, searching for governments, some of which are allegedly classified. When he left office Trump was supposed to turn over the documents to the National Archives and he has since reportedly received a subpoena requesting the documents.

Conservatives vented plenty of bile after the search warrant was executed and they continue to accuse the Biden administration of weaponizing the Justice Department.

But Conway, appearing on CNN’s OutFront with Erin Burnett, asked CNN viewers to give some thought to what would happen if a lower-level official had left with official documents.

“Let’s just take a step back,” Conway said. “Let’s say you had an outgoing National Security Advisor or an outgoing assistant to the president who took these very boxes of materials home with then on January 20, 2021. I mean, there would be no question that if they jerked around the government and refused to turn the materials back over, even after being subpoenaed, which was apparently the case here, I can’t imagine there wouldn’t be charges brought.”

Burnett remembered a similar situation that occurred during the Clinton administration.

“That’s like similar to Sandy Berger,” she said. Berger was President Bill Clinton’s National Security Advisor, who also removed several documents from the National Archives when he left the government.

Berger pleaded guilty to unlawfully removing classified documents, received a $50,000 fine, and was sentenced to 100 hours of community service work.

“Right, he took one piece of paper and stuffed it in his sock,” Conway responded. “We’re talking about, I don’t know, maybe two dozen boxes — who knows — of materials of the highest sensitivity.”

Conway said he believes Trump’s narcissism is what led him to bring the materials to his home. And that, he said, could be Trump’s biggest undoing.

“This is about the most sensitive of sensitive information that you can imagine,” he said. “And he viewed them — because he is the world’s ultimate narcissist — as his property. And he thought he could just take them, and they belonged to him, just like the election belonged to him, just like his generals across the river belonged to him. It’s all about him, it all belongs to him.”

“You can see exactly how this happened,” Conway said. “And you know, this could be the thing that really takes him down.”

That’s really a happy thought, isn’t it? After all the damage this man has created, he might finally get what he deserves.
