Karine Jean-Pierre is Just So Freaking Done With Peter Doocy and She Really Lets Him Have It

Out White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has had it about up to here with a certain obnoxious Fox News reporter who said the Biden administration is allowing illegal opioids to devastate the U.S., so she shut him up but good, according to LGBTQNation.

And of course, it was Fox News’s Peter Doocy who asked the odious question — about Fentanyl, the opioid of the moment. Opioid addiction has become a real crisis in the U.S. Last year alone, more than 100,000 Americans died from opioid overdoses, according to the White House.

“We know how the fentanyl is coming into the country; it’s coming right across the southern border. The DEA administrator says so,” Doocy said. “So when is the President going to do something more to stop this?”

Jean-Pierre maintained her patience with Doocy at this point, saying the U.S. government has stepped up, with drug seizures tripling at the southern border. She added that funding for drug prevention was increased by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA.)

But sometimes trying to reach Doocy can be kind of like bouncing a ball off a rubber wall.

“Americans’ life expectancies are going down at a rate not seen in a century, and part of that is being driven by drug overdoses,” Doocy said. “So what is the president going to do to stop it?”

Um, dude…didn’t you already ask that question?

Jean-Pierre once again said the Biden administration is receiving additional funding to prevent drug trafficking. But once again that rubber ball bounced right off the Fox News reporter.

“Three hundred overdoses,” he said, referring to how many opioid overdoses are happening daily in the U.S. “This has been designed to target children. Drug cartels in Mexico want to kill American kids. What is this president doing about it?”

So Jean-Pierre summoned a bit more patience, once again mentioning the drug seizures at the border but then Doocy interrupted her, yelling “people are coming in. Fentanyl is coming in. People are dying.”

That was finally enough for Jean-Pierre.

“This is something that’s incredibly important to this president,” she said. “So to say that we’re not doing enough, Peter, is just falsely, categorically wrong, especially on a day that we are observing what needs to be done. And — we have announced — DHS (Department of Homeland Security) has announced $80 million to prevent that. So we are doing the work.”

She was referring to President Biden’s declaration that this week is Overdose Awareness Week, a clear indication that his administration is more than aware of what he was asking about.

“And here’s the thing, Peter, if — look, if Republicans want to help us stop overdose and stop our kids getting overdosed because of these dangerous drugs, because of these fentanyl that we’re seeing in the streets, we’re happy to work with them,” she stressed. “But they’re not.”

Doocy attempted to ask one more question, but Jean-Pierre was more than done.

“I’m moving on, Peter,” she said and moved on to another reporter.

I wonder if former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki misses Steve Doocy?

Here’s Jean-Pierre’s epic smackdown below.

And I’m adding one more small point here: The opioid epidemic has been going on long before Joe Biden became President. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) notes there have been three waves of opioid overdose deaths, beginning in the 1990s when doctors began prescribing them more frequently.
