Michelle Obama Sends Blast Right Over Trump’s Bow: Slams Him for Refusing a Peaceful Transition of Power

Wow. One is told that Joe Biden is committed to running in 2024 – and we have no reason to doubt him, but at times this afternoon, it sounded like it was Michelle Obama who was announcing her candidacy for 2024. She did it by calling Donald Trump out without needing to name him or reference anything about him. She didn’t need to.

After being snubbed by Donald Trump, a man who can’t ever hold a ceremony where he isn’t the center of attention, Michelle said:

“Traditions like this matter. Not just for those of us who hold these positions, but for everyone participating in and watching our democracy. You see, the people make their voices heard with their vote. We hold an inauguration to ensure a peaceful transition of power.”

“Those of us lucky enough to serve work as hard as we can, for as long as we can, as long as the people choose to keep us here, and once our time is up, we move on,”

It needed to be said, and she said it powerfully. Without putting too much interpretation into it, she looked and sounded like someone running for office. Or she is just a very offended American fighting for her country.

To the extent it mattered, both portraits are gorgeous, though – given the subjects, it would be hard to paint a “bad looking” picture of them:

Back to Michelle sounding like a candidate:

“What we are looking at today — a portrait of a biracial kid with an unusual name and the daughter of a water pump operator and stay-at-home mom — what we are seeing is a reminder there is a place for everyone in this country.”

It was beautiful seeing the two of them in the White House again… one wonders if… Michelle would win. She is the most popular person on earth. IF Joe decides not to run, they need a sure winner… Well, we can wait until then.
