Well, Trump is not happy about this, to say the least. But it also goes to show just how little he understands how much trouble he’s in and the degree of seriousness with which this government and many others must give to this matter. We know the files included a breakdown of a foreign nation’s defense, including its nuclear capability, which has been “breached” – though we don’t know the degree, nor do we know if that was the most serious document.

*Tip: It is likely not an accident that the “leak” about the seriousness of this stuff occurred the first workday after Cannon’s order regarding the special master. It is incumbent upon DOJ-FBI to prepare the public for what might be to come and why this is so damned serious.

Of course, the government was going to appeal the ruling post-haste. Even we knew that. The United States must be moving on all fronts, investigating the national security breach and continuing its criminal investigation. Each investigation feeds the other, and there is way too much overlap between the national security review and the criminal investigation for the government to have to worry about an order prohibiting them from using the documents in the criminal investigation…” Every move would put the prosecution in jeopardy due to a tough appeal.

So, yes, Cannon’s order appointing a special master and stopping the criminal investigation (or at least prohibiting use of the files) was always going to be appealed, and Trump just doesn’t get it because now he’s raging like a maniac… one that just figured out that his hand-picked judge can’t save him now.

Taking to Truth Social, Trump wrote, “So now the FBI & Biden Department of “Justice” leakers are going to spend Millions of Dollars, & vast amounts of Time & Energy, to appeal the Order on the “Raid of Mar-a-Lago Document Hoax,” by a brilliant and courageous Judge whose words of wisdom rang true throughout our Nation, instead of fighting the record setting corruption and crime that is taking place right before their very eyes. They SPIED on my Campaign, lied to FISA COURT, told Facebook “quiet,” preside over worst CRIME WAVE ever!!”

Then he continued, “They leak, lie, plant fake evidence, allow the spying on my campaign, deceive the FISA Court, RAID and Break-Into my home, lose documents, and then they ask me, as the 45th President of the United States, to trust them. Look at the I.G. Reports on Comey, McCabe, and others. Things are safer in the middle of Central Park!”

Plant fake evidence? You had JUST SAID a day ago that you’d never leave them lying all over the floor. You had it organized. And no one is asking Trump to “trust them.” They are doing their jobs with the utmost professionalism, knowing that every move will be examined with a fine-tooth-orange comb, but they don’t care if Trump trusts them or not. They will lay it out in a way the American people can trust.

Oh, and as we noted, stand back because this appellate brief is going to be FULL of damaging revelations…
