Trump Wouldn’t Consider Nikki Haley as Running Mate Because of Her ‘Complexion’

It is hard to believe that we haven’t heard all the stories from the Trump White House; we’ve heard so many. But if you think about it, it’s likely that Trump likely did or said something outrageous every single day of his presidency. Thus, it actually isn’t surprising that New York Times reporter Peter Baker and his wife, Susan Glasser, authored a book, “The Divider: Trump in the White House 2017-2021,” that does still have new anecdotes that continue to reinforce the degree of Trump’s awfulness.

In the latest story, Trump rejects the idea of Nikki Haley as a running mate because of her skin color, which will be utterly heartbreaking for Haley since she sold her soul in order to remain in good MAGA standing almost surely because she wanted to be Trump’s running mate or even run herself.

According to Mediaite, Trump has a problem with her, one that isn’t going away no matter how much she flatters him:

“Some of these stories are so unbelievable, it’s amazing that they happened,” Glasser noted after Brianna Keilar brought up the running mate story at the end of their interview on the book. Trump also reportedly mocked the look of other women in politics, including Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

According to Glasser, Trump’s comments about Haley, a possible 2024 candidate, were made to then-White House Chief of Staff John Kelley. When Haley’s name was offered to Trump as a possible running mate, Trump dismissed the idea and said, “this doesn’t look good for me,” referencing Haley’s darker complexion.

“Trump was very motivated and talked often about appearances and in particular had a habit of making derogatory remarks about women,” Glasser said.

Hey? You can’t say that Trump doesn’t know his base. If Trump were to bring on a woman to run with him, she better look like Ivanka, or be Ivanka, or forget it. Non-blondes need not apply, and pretty in pink and white skin, please.
