The Lincoln Project is doing what they do best, and they are following up on a promise. As we know, the group was formed by a handful of Republican operatives sickened by Trump. Their mission was to get Trump out. But shortly after beginning that fight, it occurred to them as a group that rooting Trump out wouldn’t do any good without getting his enablers in Congress. It was a surprising turn when they wrote off all Republicans with the exception of the few who stood against Trump, including Romney, Cheney, and Kinzinger, among others.

As election day comes draws nearer, now just three weeks away, the Lincoln Project is keeping its promise in attempting to sweep out any and all MAGAs left in Congress. Yes, they have made a lot of money. Of course, they have. You don’t get to that level without commanding a pretty decent salary. But more importantly, they’ve brought something that wasn’t a Democratic strength coming in, a toughness regarding politics that was always, well – the province of the Republicans.

Watch this latest ad clip. They don’t worry that Donald Trump hasn’t been charged with anything yet, as Democrats might do. They simply call Trump a criminal for keeping the documents at Mar-a-Lago and for inciting-planning the violence on January 6th. Democrats might have been reluctant to go that far without charges filed. (I won’t call him a criminal until the process plays out). It is a highly effective political indictment of everyone protecting Trump, which is nearly everyone in Congress.

This ad is made for Florida, where Rubio is running. But the ad is broad and encapsulates the country. It is brutal:
