Listen to Trump Acting Like He’s King on Newly Revealed Woodward Tapes, ‘Everything’s Mine’

Journalist Bob Woodward is publishing a new audiobook where former President Donald Trump can be heard on tape boasting about his “airtight” non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) with his aides and a host of other subjects in excerpts from the audiobook.

Woodward is, of course, most famous for his investigative work alongside fellow journalist Carl Bernstein. The diligent work of these two men helped bring down former President Richard M. Nixon. Now, Woodward’s upcoming audiobook The Trump Tapes includes recordings of Trump, and some of these have been shared with CNN prior to the book’s release, The Independent reports.

One of the featured conversations from the tapes includes Trump and his eldest child Donald Trump Jr. discussing NDAs. The younger Trump jokes that he’s in the middle of a book and hasn’t ever signed one.

“I do have non-disclosure deals with,” Trump says.

“Corey has one, Hope has one…,” Don Jr. says, recounting former staffers.

“Corey has one, Hope has one, to do so I won’t even ask one question even as I have,” Trump responds.

“I don’t got one, I’m in the middle of a book,” the younger Trump says.

“He’s the one I’m most worried about,” Trump says.

That leads Woodward to ask: “Do you think these are airtight agreements that no one could write a book—?”

“I think they’re very airtight. I think they’re extremely airtight. And anybody that violated it, let’s put it this way, it’s so airtight that I’ve never had a problem with this. I don’t like people that take your money and then say bad things about you. Okay?”

As MSN reports:

“Another of the CNN clips features Woodward and Trump son-in-law joking around and arranging for Woodward to have access to other Trumpworld figures. There are also short snippets of Trump talking about Kim Jong Un, and another in which he seems to insist, simultaneously, that he does and does not get ideas for his speeches from other people.”

Referring to Kim Jong Un, Trump says:

“They said ‘He’s going to get us into a war.’ Remember, they were screaming—”

To which Woodward interjects: “Yes, my nuclear button is bigger than his.”

“That’s right, I said. Yeah. He talked about the button. Right?” Trump responded. “He said about the button on my desk. I said my button is bigger than yours and my button works’. He said, so you know, stuff like that.”

At one point Woodward asks: “Did somebody help you?”

Of course, Trump can’t stand to give anyone other than himself credit so that led him to say: “Yeah. Yeah, I get people, they come up with ideas, but the ideas are mine, Bob. But you know something? Everything’s mine.

One last tidbit: At one point during the interviews, Trump is heard mentioning Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I respect Putin. I think Putin likes me. I think I like him.”

I’ll leave you to make of that what you will.
