Trump Loved to Tease ‘Skinny’ Jared Kushner Behind His Back, Even Making Sick ‘Deliverance’ Joke About Jared Camping

Jared Kushner has always been thin, and apparently his father-in-law, Donald Trump likes to make fun of him for this. Perhaps the former president is a bit jealous because if there’s one thing Donald Trump isn’t, it’s thin. He is the opposite of thin.

This intriguing bit of information comes from the new book Confidence Man by New York Times correspondent Maggie Haberman. Trump’s racism, homophobia, and just plain ignorance are put on full display here, but so are his mean-spirited jibes at Kushner, who is the husband of Trump’s eldest daughter Ivanka, The Guardian reports.

Trump apparently thought it would be funny to joke about Kushner’s weight during his failed 2020 presidential campaign. Uproxx reports he joked with aides about Kushner’s idea to go camping, which he apparently thought wasn’t such a great idea. “Ivanka wants to rent one of those big RVs,” he told them. “This skinny guy wants to do it. Can you imagine Jared and his skinny ass camping? It’d be like something out of Deliverance.”

So of course Trump couldn’t get through that inference without pretending to play the classic banjo theme from the film, in which backcountry men rape a man from the city during a camping trip.

Jared is one skinny dude

But Trump has mocked Kushner before. He also did this in the early days of his presidency by belittling Kushner’s voice.

“He sounds like a child,” Trump said when the younger man appeared before a congressional hearing.

And of course, Trump had to complain about Kushner’s Jewish faith. Especially after Kushner took a day off to observe a religious holiday.

“F*cking Shabbat,” Trump growled, and then wondered if Kushner was just trying to get out of work.

Kushner, like his father, Charles Kushner, is probably a corrupt individual, as he’s also been involved in some quite dicey real estate deals.

But what’s that old saying? Oh yeah, “birds of a feather flock together.”

That doesn’t make Trump’s jokes or jibes at Kushner any less mean-spirited, but this man ran his entire campaign on mean-spiritedness with his obvious racism, blaming Antifa for things it didn’t do and nonstop name-calling of Joe Biden. Kindness and compassion are alien concepts to Trump.
