Elon Musk’s ‘Satanic’ Halloween Costume is Freaking Out Conservatives, With Some Thinking He’s the Antichrist

Conspiracy believers and right-wing Christians are losing it over a “Satanic” outfit that billionaire Twitter CEO Elon Musk wore to a Halloween party, the DailyDot reports.

The fun began when Musk shared a pair of photographs of his attire, which included a red Samurai-style suit of armor, with his almost 113 million followers.

The DailyMail notes the brightly-colored costume is listed online as the “Devil’s Champion-Leather Armor” set. It retails for $7,500. Musk wore the costume to model Heidi Klum’s 21st annual Halloween party at Moxy Hotel in New York City.

The costume features a large goat’s head and an inverted cross, and that’s what got the Christian conservatives all in a big dither. Plenty of social media users apparently believe that Musk’s acquisition of Twitter is part of a global fight against evil and are now accusing Musk of sending the wrong message.

“Come on @elonmusk, we are fighting satanist (only one?) and you choose to wear this?” One grammatically-challenged person wrote.

“Rams head Baphomet and inverted cross?” noted another grammatically-challenged Twitterer, who added:

“Not okay Elon, seek forgiveness and repent my man.”

Some Twitter users seemed to suggest Musk may be the anti-Christ, an infamous figure in the New Testament that many Christians believe will try to lead them far afield when the world ends.

“tell me thats not something the Anti Christ would wear.”

Abracadabra NYC, the website that sells the costume suffered a barrage of fake reviews aimed at disparaging Musk’s choice of costume. Some of them are certainly rather…imaginative.

“Wore this to a satanic celebrity party in Draculas castle in Romania,” one reviewer wrote alongside a photo of Musk in costume. “Fit me really well. If I don’t comply they will punish me. I am the Antichrist. They’re among us.”

One reviewer even showed themselves to be anti-Semitic by accusing Jewish people of sacrificing non-Jewish babies.

“Elon and I purchased these together to honor our Dark Lord. Praise be!” the reviewer wrote. “It is because of our Dark Lord that we have the money to purchase things like Twitter. We must honor him in tithe. As long as we do not deny him, the money will flow like honey….mixed with the blood of a white Christian goyim child on the altar of our Evil Lord.”

Musk’s colorful attire also got the folks at the far-right blog The Gateway Pundit all stirred up. Apparently, these folks don’t understand irony when they see it.

“Musk’s take on free speech should be celebrated but as of right now it’s quite fair to question why the world’s richest man, who is also a major U.S. Defense contractor (SpaceX) and is the owner of Neural Link a company attempting to hook the human brain up to computers is wearing the Baphomet coupled with inverted crosses as if it’s a badge of honor,” the blog stated.

Frankly, I think it makes Musk look like a Power Ranger, but that’s just me. What’s clear here is that too many of these conspiracy “theorists” have way too much time on their hands. Musk was wearing a Halloween costume. An expensive Halloween costume, to be sure, but all it was really intended for was going to a party.

Leave it to far-right conservatives to make something out of nothing.
