Lonely Ivanka Trump Was ‘Unhappy’ That Her Friends ‘Turned Their Backs’ on Her When She Worked for Her Father

When Ivanka Trump worked for her father during his administration, many friends “turned their backs” on her, and that made her unhappy, according to a report by The New York Post Thursday.

“Ivanka hated all the criticism and the threats and was unhappy about how a lot of their friends turned their back on them,” one unnamed source told the Post.

“She feels it’s bad for her family … and negative in general in her circle of friends” that person said. The source also she made no friends .during her time as an unpaid adviser in her father’s administration.

“She wants as normal a life as she can arrange for her and her family,” the source said.

President Trump’s eldest daughter was noticeably absent when her father launched his presidential campaign at his home in Palm Beach, Florida Tuesday, per the Post, according to Business Insider. Jared Kushner, her husband, and a former political adviser to the ex-president was in attendance.

In a statement, Ivanka said that she loves her father “very much,” but isn’t going to be involved in the political arena anymore.

“This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics,” she wrote.

As unpaid advisers in the Trump administration, Ivanka and Jared, despite having little experience in politics, wielded a significant amount of influence over her father’s policy initiatives.

And while she was in the White House, several of Ivanka’s former friends made plain that they were cutting ties with her because of her father’s presidency and political stance. This includes Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton, and 2016 presidential contender Hillary Clinton. In September, Chelsea Clinton noted she used to be friends with Ivanka Trump until “she went to the dark side.”

Then there’s Lyssandra Ohrstrom, Ivanka’s best friend from childhood, who has put distance between herself and Trump’s eldest daughter because the two have vastly different stances on social issues. And she said as much in a tell-all essay last year.

“I think it’s past time that one of the many critics from Ivanka’s childhood comes forward — if only to ensure that she never will really recover from the decision to tie her fate to her father’s” Ohrstrom said.

It seems like Ivanka’s had enough of her father’s “me me me” attitude and she’s putting distance between her father’s administration since now that she’s left.

Testifying before House Select Committee investigators last June, she said she had “accepted” Attorney General Bill Barr’s analysis that there was no substantial fraud committed during the 2020 election, despite the fact that her father continues, even to this day, that the election was stolen from him.

Once her father was out of office, she and Kushner left Washington, D.C., moving to Miami with their three children. I’m sure she’s happy to be away from that political atmosphere, now that she no longer has to worry about her father’s deceitful tricks to stay in office.
