Rep. Mo Brooks is DONE: Says Trump is ‘Dishonest, Disloyal, Incompetent, and Crude’

If you haven’t noticed, there has been a lot of MAGA anger unleashed lately. The Midterm election was simply intolerable on many fronts. The Democrats had so many things going against them. Inflation (the biggest), a fixation with identity politics that can turn off even some of us Democrats, and fears that the economy itself – despite being strong now, can be headed for the. Joe Biden was not popular.

Of course, there were three powerful things going for Democrats. One, the Dobbs decision was so sweeping, so naked in its protection of women that it was seen as the end product of ever-increasing-Right-Wing extremism. There was also concern for democracy itself. January 6th shook much of the country far more than the MaGAs appreciate. Last, Trump made his endorsements based solely on the strength of the believe in the “steal,” that was in, not in campaign fundraising, not in the ability to campaign, certainly not on the ability to do the job… and what was left were people like Mehmet Oz, Walker, J.D. Vance (who won), and Blake Masters.

Today, Rep. Mo Brookes, who spoke at the January 6th “Rally speech” (With body armor underneath). Mo did the speech in exchange for Trump’s endorsement in the Alabama Senate race. But Trump rescinded that endorsement when in the spring of 2022, Brookes said it was time to move on from the 2020 election. Trump wasn’t ready to hear such sensible advice.

He took his endorsement Mo.

Today, Rep. Mo Brooks exacted his revenge:

“It would be a bad mistake for the Republicans to have Donald Trump as their nominee in 2024,” Brooks said in an interview with AL.com.

“Donald Trump has proven himself to be dishonest, disloyal, incompetent, crude and a lot of other things that alienate so many independents and Republicans. Even a candidate who campaigns from his basement can beat him.”

“No question, I am displeased with Donald Trump,” Brooks said. “But that does not change the truthfulness of what I say. I challenge anybody to make the argument that you can trust the word of Donald Trump.”

That comes close to covering it. Close.
