Elaine Chao Furiously Demands Media NOT Report on Trump’s Racial Slurs About Her: ‘If This Were the N-Word’

Former Treasury Secretary and holder of other prominent positions Elaine Chao, also obviously married to Mitch Mcconnell, likely did two things that brought out Trump’s long-suspected and recently confirmed racism. Chao did two things that one must never do if one wants to avoid a Trump attack. And if not a white man, it will include a reference to your gender, ethnicity, etc.

Secretary Chao resigned in protest after January 6th, and that is just not done even though a lot of administration officials did the same. And second, Chao is married to Trump’s Lex Luther in Mitch McConnell. Perhaps only Trump doesn’t see the cognitive dissonance required to hire Chao and then basically call her a Chinese “spy” even though she immigrated to the U.S. from Taiwan, a U.S. ally. Details.

On Wednesday, Trump put out a Truth Social post that referenced the Secretary as “Chow” again (Perhaps Chow-Chow again). Yesterday, Chao responded. From Mediaite:

“Well I think it is very helpful if the media does not repeat that racist tweet,” Chao answered. “If it were the N-word, or any other word, the media would not repeat it. But the media continuously repeats his racist taunt. And so, he’s trying to get a rise out of us. He says all sorts of outrageous things, and I don’t make a point of answering any of one of them.

Yes, Trump is trying to get a rise out of Chao, and the media should be reporting it. But, despite the fact that Chao has a long and distinguished career and can certainly take care of herself (Sec. of Transportation, Sec. of Labor, Deputy Sec. of Transportation, is it too much to ask Mitch also to jump in and call out Trump’s racism? And, true, Chao is correct in demanding the media cover these racist statements, but she can also fire back (though she kind of just did).

There are things worth getting a rise out of, and this is one.
