Trump Claims on Truth Social That He’s ‘Clairvoyant’ and That Joe Biden is ‘Mentally Disabled’

On Christmas Day, Donald Trump wasn’t content to wish people a simple “Happy Holidays,” “Merry Christmas,” or anything like that. Nope, he was in his usual poisonous mood and fired off a fusillade of obnoxious posts on Truth Social, including one where he wrote “the USA is dying from within,” Business Insider reports.

He began Saturday by wishing “Merry Christmas to EVERYONE,” including “Radical Left Marxists that are trying to destroy our Country, the Federal Bureau of Investigation that is illegally coercing & paying Social and LameStream Media.” In other words, his usual favorite targets.

Then he proceeded to claim these groups were supporting “a mentally disabled Democrat over the Brilliant (in what world?), Clairvoyant, and USA Loving Donald J. Trump.” It seems like Trump’s retort may be a reference to unsubstantiated attacks by his fellow Republicans on President Joe Biden’s mental acuity.

Trump didn’t say why he called himself clairvoyant (which, according to the Cambridge Dictionary is “a person who says they have powers to see the future or see things that other people cannot see.”

If Trump is “clairvoyant” why didn’t he see that the FBI was going to raid his house and find highly classified documents last August? Why did he fail to see that his own actions would cause him to be impeached not just once, but TWICE?”

I just can’t help but wonder, is all

But Trump wasn’t content to write one nasty Christmas message when he could instead write a few more. In one post, written on Sunday, Christmas Day, the ex-president complained about immigration at the southern border, once again showing his racism and claiming migrants were streaming in unprecedented numbers from Mexico into the U.S.

The number of migrants streaming into the U.S. before the end of the fiscal year ending in September was definitely a record-breaker, with 2.4 million having been intercepted at the Southern Border with Mexico, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data that was released on Christmas Eve.

“On this very cold but beautiful Christmas Day, look at our Nation NOW on the Southern Border compared to only a short time ago during the Trump Administration,” Trump wrote.

That led him to describe the situation as a “horror show” and wrote that many of those migrating were “Criminals (including Killers, Human Traffickers and Drug Dealers).”

The sizable increase in the number of people migrating across the border led Trump to comment that “the USA is dying from within.”

While Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign continues to go nowhere, these comments are reminiscent of his 2016 campaign promise to build a wall between the U.S.-Mexico border. Which also went nowhere.

At the time, you may remember he said:

“We’re going to secure the border, and once the border is secured at a later date, we’ll make a determination as to the rest,” Trump said at the time. “But we have some bad hombres here and we’re going to get them out.”

And again, if Trump were so “clairvoyant” as he claimed earlier, perhaps he’d have known his wall was doomed to failure. I don’t believe, however, that astuteness has ever been this man’s strong suit. He wasn’t content to leave his Christmas Day nastiness at that either, firing off six more posts, one of which included this gem:

“TODAY, LIKE NEVER BEFORE, WE ARE A NATION IN DECLINE, A FAILING NATION!”

Of course, if the nation is “failing” as Trump claims, he reaches out to blame others but never looks to see if he played a role in this. To be able to do something like that, he’d have to be introspective. Something he’s clearly not capable of being.
