Trump Is Going Nuts on Truth Social Over Accusations He Cost the GOP the Midterms, ‘It Wasn’t My Fault…!’

Donald Trump is blaming the Republicans horrible midterm performance on abortion and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and refusing to take any responsibility at all for helping to choose candidates like Dr. Oz and Herschel Walker.

Following the lack of a “red wave” in Nov., many Republicans blamed Trump for the losses, claiming it was his presence that turned away voters.

Trump refuted the accusations since Nov., but gave his most straightforward answer regarding where the blame laid in a Truth Social post on Sunday. The former president claimed that some Republican candidates “poorly handled” the “abortion issue,” and that McConnell’s wasteful spending were the two key factors that led to the lackluster midterms.

Trump wrote, “It wasn’t my fault that the Republicans didn’t live up to expectations in the MidTerms. I was 233-20! It was the “abortion issue,” poorly handled by many Republicans, especially those that firmly insisted on No Exceptions, even in the case of Rape, Incest, or Life of the Mother, that lost large numbers of Voters. Also, the people that pushed so hard, for decades, against abortion, got their wish from the U.S. Supreme Court, & just plain disappeared, not to be seen again. Plus, Mitch stupid $’s!”

Trump continues his hatred of Mitch McConnell, probably because McConnell accurately forecasted what would happen in the midterms. Last summer, McConnell warned the party might fail to take the Senate, citing what he called a problem with “candidate quality.”

“I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different — they’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,” McConnell accurately predicted last August.

Trump also posted some lists on Truth Social showing the candidates that he endorsed that also won. I am unsure of why he did this…h had nothing to do with many of these races. Chuck Grassley was going to win in Iowa no matter what.

Then he posted another, this time with candidates that decided to retire or resign. Trump is truly pathological.

Trump’s campaign has been relatively quiet since his Nov. 15 announcement, and Trump himself has been embroiled in several scandals, including hosting a prominent white nationalist for dinner and a plethora of legal issues.
