Fox News Co-Host Was Actually BOOED by Studio Audience for Saying Joe Biden is a Decent Person

Fox News co-host Geraldo Rivera faced a solid round of boos from the audience when he praised President Joe Biden during an appearance on the Hannity Hot Seat.

Program host Sean Hannity and Rivera were discussing Biden Thursday, the same day president talked about aerial objects that were recently shot down. This led Hannity to ask his on-stage audience if they believed the Biden family is somehow compromised by China. Some audience members raised their hands, according to this clip posted by Acyn on Twitter.

River said he believes Biden is a “decent person” and that he is “trying to do his best,” and that resulted in a chorus of boos from the audience.

Wednesday Hannity was critical of the Biden administration’s China policies, including the decision to wait a few days before shooting down the suspected Chinese surveillance balloon earlier this month.

“The Biden administration will not hold them [China] accountable for anything…they won’t even dare say a bad word about China,” he told his audience.

Republicans have been heaping criticism on Biden after the Chinese balloon flew for several days after being discovered over the skies in Montana, where one of three domestic nuclear missile silos in the U.S. is located. The balloon was first sighted north of Alaska’s Aleutian Islands on January 28. It then moved into western Canada on January 30.

This led the Federal Aviation Administration to close the airspace over parts of North- and South Carolina and the balloon was shot down, per Biden’s directions, roughly six nautical miles off the coast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on February 11.

Biden originally called for the balloon to be shot down after he was briefed about it, but national security officials declined at this time due to safety concerns.

Last week an unidentified aerial object was shot down over Alaska by an F-22 Fighter jet, on Biden’s order. The object was flying over Alaska’s northern coast.

The object was “the size of a small car” and was flying at 40,000 feet. John Kirby, a spokesperson for National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications said the agency considered it a “reasonable threat” to commercial aviation.

Biden reported Thursday that the U.S. Military, via the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), tracked three unidentified objects, including the one shot down over Alaska. One object flew over Canada while the other flew over Lake Huron.

“They acted in accordance with established paramaters for determining how to deal with unidentified aerial objects in U.S. airspace,” Biden said. “At their recommendation, I gave the order to take down these three objects due to hazards to civilian commercial air traffic and because we could not rule out the surveillance risk of sensitive facilities.”

It isn’t known what these three objects were, but one thing is known: they aren’t related to “China’s spy balloon program,” nor are they surveillance objects from another country, Biden said.

“Our intelligence community is still assessing all three incidences,” he added. “They’re reporting to me daily and will continue their urgent efforts to do so, and I will communicate that to the Congress.”

This is all rather intriguing, isn’t it? Hannity doesn’t have his facts straight by suggesting that the Biden administration won’t hold China accountable. Why should the administration do that, we don’t know where some of the mysterious objects came from, but we do know at least some of them weren’t from China. Do we really need to make the situation between the U.S. and China more tense than it already is?

And it was nice to see Geraldo Rivera go against the tide to praise Biden, even if he did get a round of boos from the audience.
