Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle seem to be doing well as a couple, even though it’s entirely clear that at least some members of former President Donald Trump’s family aren’t crazy about her.

“Ivanka [Trump] doesn’t trust her because she sees her as a social climber desperate to marry into the family,” one source told OK!Magazine.

It’s safe to assume that Guilfoyle, 53, and Ivanka Trump, 41, were never exactly best buddies but the situation worsened at the wedding of Tiffany Trump, Ivanka’s younger sister in November 2022. “Kimberly wore black, which rubbed everyone the wrong way,” the source said of the wedding, where all of the other women wore pastels. “Kimberly knew the dress code and simply disregarded it, which upset both Tiffany and Ivanka.”

This led Ivanka to cut the television news personality out of her photo when she posted it to social media.

“Once people online noticed, Ivanka reposted the image with Kimberly in it, but the damage was done,” the source said.

Ivanka, who is married to Jared Kushner, is also deeply fond of Don Jr.’s ex-wife Vanessa Trump.

“She loves her former sister-in-law, Vanessa,” the source added. Don Jr. divorced her after 13 years of marriage in 2018. “There was hope that they would reconcile, but Kimberly put the kibosh on that.”

The Trumps haven’t been particularly cozy with each other lately. When her father announced he intended to run for president again in 2024, Ivanka made it very clear she wouldn’t be part of the campaign.

“Ivanka’s decision to stay out of politics and re-launch her brand is another reason she’s been keeping her distance,” per the source. “Kimberly, along with Eric’s wife, Lara, consider it a huge betrayal, so they’ve taken sides against her. No one trusts her anymore.”

Ivanka has made it abundantly clear that she no longer plans to work alongside her dad. At least not when it comes to politics, anyway.

“I love my father very much,” she said in an Instagram statement. “This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family.”

“I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena. I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and I will always be proud of many of our Administration’s accomplishments.”

So the Trump family seems to be developing some cracks. I have no idea whether Guilfoyle is a “desperate social climber,” but Celebrity Net Worth reports she has a net worth of $25 million, so she’s definitely not hurting, money-wise. For some people, however, no amount of money is too much and that certainly seems true for the Trump family. Especially when you consider Donald Trump’s grifty shenanigans.
