A Humiliatingly Small Crowd Protested Outside Trump Tower Against the Expected Indictment of the Orange Warlord

Trump hasn’t been indicted or arrested yet. And so it’s not really “launch time” for any protests against Trump’s impending alleged arrest. And New York City is not only one of the hardest places to protest because of the sheer volume of people on the streets anyway, along with the fact that people who live and work in Manhattan aren’t really Trump’s crowd, so the locals probably aren’t going to have any sort of uprising.

The “decentralized” nature of Trump’s troubles in New York, as opposed to Atlanta, is going to prove to be both beneficial and a danger. If Trump is indicted in Manhattan, it’s that much more likely he’ll be indicted in Georgia, in my opinion. As for DOJ, God only knows. We were assured that Garland’s gift to Trump, a new Special Prosecutor, wouldn’t “slow things down,” given the number of subpoenas Smith has sent out, either the DOJ was way behind or Smith did represent a slowdown.

But again, the point is that there is almost no logical centralized place to protest. Good. Except that leaves federal buildings all across the country as places where, if one wanted to protest, that would be the place. And those buildings can’t be as hardened as the courthouse in Manhattan. It makes one worry about an Oklahoma City type of situation. But what if Trump’s supporters have seen what happened to the Jan. 6thers and really don’t want to put themselves in that situation?

There were a laughable number of people protesting in front of Trump Tower. Indeed, Chris Hayes said that there were more reporters than protesters at Trump Tower today. Look at this pathetic display in front of Trump Tower. One can be pretty sure that this isn’t what Trump had in mind. Though it should be known, NYPD has been watching social media and there are threats out there to bring trucks into Manhattan and bring all traffic to a standstill.

If that is any sign of things to come, we should be in good shape.
