Lauren Boebert Won’t ‘Nitpick What the Bible Says’ Now That Her Teen Son Knocked Up His ‘Over the Age of 14’ Girlfriend

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), whose Twitter profile reads, in part “Mom raising my 4 boys to be MEN before liberals teach them to be women!” does apparently want to brainwash by teaching them her ideas about the bible instead of allowing them to think for themselves.

Boebert has recently announced she’ll be a 36-year-old grandmother to her 17-year-old son and his preggers teen girlfriend. She added that the idea of her son having premarital sex challenges her Christian beliefs but she doesn’t want to “nitpick” the bible for what’s right and wrong.

She does seem to want to cherrypick it, however.

“Obviously, I’m a Christian and you know there are standards that we like to uphold, but none of us do it perfectly,” Boebert said Thursday while talking to Dave Rubin for The Rubin Report, a conservative political talk show.

“One of the biggest things that I look to is, ‘Him who knows to do right and doesn’t, it’s sin.’ And I mean, there [are] things all throughout the week that I know is right to do and sometimes, you know, I don’t do them. So we can nitpick what the Bible says is right and wrong, but I think just having that heart posture of wanting to serve God and do the right thing is so important.”

She told Rubin she wants to teach her son “about redemption and how to move forward.” The bible, in fact, teaches much about forgiveness and acceptance, but Boebert is on Twitter spouting nonsense that doesn’t mention either of these things.

“The Left wants to erase women. We at Women for America are prepared to hold the line and defend the principles and ideals that make our nation great through courageous, conservative leadership.”

And of course, she’s another Republican who offers “prayers” when mass shootings occur but then fights against effective measures to prevent more deaths.

“My prayers are with the beautiful children whose lives have been lost, their families & the first responders who are dealing with this tragedy in Nashville.”

And then tweets crap like this:

“Proud of the @COHouseGOP who has been fighting all weekend against the Democrats’ package of anti-constitutional gun bills that target lawful businesses instead of criminals, expand red flag orders, and infringe on our Second Amendment rights.”

Boebert announced her upcoming grandmotherhood on March 4 during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Moms for America Event. This caused a stir because she used this as an excuse to praise teens who choose not to have abortions.

In the interview with Rubin, Boebert said she and her mother had their first child at 18 years old, and her son will become the third generation in the family to become a teen parent.

“My mom—she was 18 when she had me. I was 18 when I had Tyler, and now he’s 18. One of his first comments was, ‘Mom, this is hereditary.’ I said, ‘Nice try. Doesn’t work that way. (Oh, c’mon!) But I’m really proud of him and my grandson’s mom for being responsible, because they could have taken a different route, and both of them chose life,” she said.

“It wasn’t anything I had to browbeat them with, I very calmly had the conversation when we found out, just let me know if you think something else, I just want to have a talk with you if you decide to go a different direction, and both of them were very excited and wanted to move forward and welcome this life into the world,” she said.

Not much is known about the mother of Boebert’s soon to be grandson, other than she is “over the age of 14”. I am guessing that was revealed for legal reasons.

Boebert has said she’s a devout Christian and often appeals to God in her politics, and as such she’s denounced sex education (which is really stupid considering that it might have helped her son and his girlfriend) in her own state and called for the defunding of Planned Parenthood.

We can do with a few less “devout” Christians who cherrypick the bible to suit their purposes. That would suit me just fine.
