Just hours ago, Trump posted on Truth Social that he wants protests upon his arrest, and he didn’t add the word “peaceful.”

Here is Trump’s original post, announcing that he’ll be arrested on Tuesday:

Yes, it is insanely dangerous. It makes anyone working around a federal courthouse and Jewish synagogues incredibly dangerous.

But here comes Marjorie Taylor Greene… sounding reasonable?

We don’t need to protest about the Communists Democrat’s planning to arrest Pres Trump and the political weaponization of our government and election interference. These idiots are sealing their own fate in 2024 because the silent majority has two feelings right now about the current regime. Fear and anger. That is the most powerful combination when election time comes. And the Democrats are driving that force with their own corrupt actions.

That will likely infuriate Trump because he wants nationwide protests to erupt. He wants violence, burning federal courthouses, all of it, any federal building because Trump wants other prosecutors too intimidated to file charges.

This can go one of two ways. Trump can be indicted, fan the flames and get a reaction, violence across the country, alienating Trump from nearly everyone because 60% of the country resents that he wants the country burned to the ground, dropping his “popularity,” even with MAGAs. Or it makes him a martyr and attracts even DeSantis supporters, and Independents resent arresting him because it’s easier to just let him whine and scream.

If one really thinks about it, there is a hint of coordination here. New York City, especially Manhattan, is the place least likely to have giant protests. Atlanta would be much more dangerous. So if one announces the first one – always the big one because you’ve crossed the Rubicon, then the reaction to Georgia and possible federal indictments will be “less surprising.” I don’t have any information or even a “sense” as to whether that kind of coordination is possible.

But a Manhattan indictment first is the best course. MTG’s approach to beat us in 2024 is the best advice. But it will sure upset Trump.
