2024 Election

Trump’s Freaking Out (AGAIN) on Truth Social About Stormy ‘Horseface’ Daniels, ‘I NEVER HAD AN AFFAIR!’

New York prosecutors have made it clear to former President Donald Trump that he will likely face criminal charges in the case involving hush money allegedly paid to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, according to a report cited by The New York Post.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has contacted attorneys for the 76-year-old former president to inform them that Trump will be given the chance to defend himself next week in front of the grand jury that’s hearing the evidence in the case before the indictment is handed down, The New York Times reports.

The current thinking is that Trump will decline the offer — something that is usually only offered to potential defendants when criminal charges are about to be filed, according to the Times.

If Trump is indicted, he will be the first former president in history to face criminal charges.

Bragg’s office has spent five years investigating the Daniels hush money case.

Central to the probe is a $130,000 payment made to the adult film star as Trump conducted his 2016 presidential campaign. Daniels and Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen allege the payment was made in order to keep her from discussing a 2005 affair she alleges she had with Trump.

Cohen said he paid Daniels the money and Trump made a series of monthly payments to reimburse him.

It’s not clear what charges Bragg will bring against Trump, but the report adds that prosecutors could accuse the ex-president of falsifying business records, and then elevate the charge to a felony by arguing it was attached to a second crime.

The hush money was in the form of an improper donation to Trump’s campaign because it hid the affair and of course, benefited his candidacy.

As you might expect, Trump is reacting to the possibility of an imminent indictment by playing the “oh poor me” game on Truth Social, complaining that he did “nothing wrong” and describing the case as a “Witch-Hunt.”

“I did absolutely nothing wrong,” Trump wrote.

Gee, where have we heard this before?

“I never had an affair with Stormy Daniels, nor would I have wanted to have an affair with Stormy Daniels,” he wrote.

“This is a political Witch-Hunt, trying to take down the leading candidate, by far, in the Republican Party, while at the same time also leading all Democrats in the polls,” Trump complained, calling this a case of “extortion.”

Trump went a few more steps off the deep end, accusing the Justice Department of placing “top DOJ prosecutors into the Manhattan District Attorney’s office in order to ‘get Trump.'”

“This is not a state case, it is a federal case, and they have all passed on it,” Trump declared.

“Even the previous Manhattan DA, Cyrus Vance, did not bring charges because I am guilty of nothing except for the fact that I am beating all Republicans and Democrats badly in the Presidential race,” he added, then claimed that the statute of limitation on bringing such charges in this case expired more than a year ago.

Trump is continuing to freak out, with MORE posts on Truth Social. He said, “Page 1: My friend, the late, GREAT, Robert Morgenthau, the legendary & highly respected District Attorney of Manhattan, would be spinning in his grave if he were told that his Office was even thinking about bringing charges against the 45th President of the United States & leading Republican contender for the 2024 Nomination, based on a Scam concerning Stormy “Horseface” Daniels & her now incarcerated lawyer, Michael “SleazeBag” Avenatti, working with convicted liar & felon Michael Cohen….”

He continued, “Page 2: Bob Morgenthau, who was Chairman of the Police Athletic League (PAL), which Honored me on three separate occasions, was a man whose life was based on Dignity, Honor, and Respect. He would not have stood for this Scam, Injustice, Mockery, and Complete and Total Weaponization of Law Enforcement in order to affect a Presidential Election!”

Trump is also posting other people’s posts defending him:

And more:

I’m glad this seems to be moving forward. Trump can tell all the fantasies he likes, but obviously, Bragg and those investigating this case aren’t easily fooled. So perhaps Trump really will get the justice he so richly deserves.
