It’s been well over two years since Melania Trump left the White House, but even so, she’s still being heavily scrutinized. And now, former White House press secretary and top aide Stephanie Grisham is adding additional insight into relationships within the Trump family that few of us were privy to until now. Apparently, the former first lady is not particularly fond of Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée and her habit of mixing pleasure with business, according to SheKnows.

While the former first lady’s relationship with her husband, former President Donald Trump is a complicated one, it became quite clear: “She was always very protective of who was around her husband,” Grisham said in an interview with MSNBC.

“She very much liked people who would tell him the truth, tell him he shouldn’t do things and she felt that many of those people that you just mentioned would oftentimes tell him what he wanted to hear.”

But what really galled Melania was “people profiting off of her husband or her family” and Guilfoyle pushed the former first lady’s buttons on this one.

“And so when you consider how much Jason Miller has made off of the Trump family (I was unable to find out how much he made, but I did find out he has an estimated net worth ranging between $1 million and $2 million), or you know, Kimberly Guilfoyle demanded $60,000 just to introduce the president the day of the rally, it was things like that that bothered her,” Grisham said.

Grisham is, of course, referring to the payment Guilfoyle received for a less than three-minute-long speech Guilfoyle for introducing Donald Trump to the crowd just before the January 6, 2021 insurrection. Last year Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), a member of the January 6 committee told CNN last year that Guilfoyle’s exorbitant payment was a “grift.” This is apparently how Melanie thought of it as well.

But it seems like everyone in the Trump family is a grifter, except for Barron, who’s too young for that yet.
