Trump Lowers the Mar-a-Lago Flag to Half-Staff Over the ‘Death of America’ After His Indictment and Americans Can’t Stop Laughing

I’m sorry, but I can’t stop laughing. Donald Trump is such a drama queen…I can’t even take it.

As basically everyone knows by now, Trump has finally been indicted for SOMETHING. It wasn’t the case we wanted him indicted for, at least not at first. The Stormy Daniels case is the weakest case and he could very possibly win and that wouldn’t be good. I would’ve much rather had Fani Willis’s case come first, because in that one, Trump is guilty as sin. We heard him on tape asking the Secretary of State to “find” votes so he could win the state. Doesn’t get more illegal as that my friends.

But, us Democrats have been waiting for justice for such a long time, if it’s the Stormy Daniels case we get, we’ll take it. (Still, Fani, Jack Smith, put some fire under yourselves, ok?)

And as you’d expect, Trump isn’t taking the news very well. Of course, this could all be one big act. He knows he’ll never do time for this case, and it will probably win him the nomination (but lose the general, again).

But it seems Trump’s supporters aren’t supporting him as much as we would’ve expected. Bloomberg reported that “no more than 30 supporters gathered near Trump’s palatial home and private club in Palm Beach” following the news of the indictment, which CNN is reporting includes 34 counts.

Then there was this, the pièce de résistance, also from Bloomberg, “A flag stood at half mast.”

HALF MAST!!! And apparently half mast is the wrong terminology. It’s actually at half-staff. Half mast refers to flags lowered on a ship while half-staff refers to a pole in the ground, according to the Naval History and Heritage Command’s blog.

According the the VA, “The president may order the flag to be flown at half-staff to mark the death of other officials, former officials, or foreign dignitaries. In addition to these occasions, the president may order half-staff display of the flag after other tragic events.”

A couple of things. One, Trump is NOT the president. And two, no one died and this is NOT a tragic event. Of course he didn’t order other flags to be flown at half staff (because he doesn’t have the power), but still, the DRAMA.

Now, there is a chance the flag could be lowered because of the school shooting in Nashville. President Biden ordered flags to be flown at half-staff until sunset, March 31 to honor the victims of the Nashville school shooting. So we are currently trying to find out whether the flag is still at half-staff, and whether it was prior to the indictments being announced. I just want to mention this in case Trump isn’t as dramatic as we thought (but who are we kidding, this is totally something Trump would do).

I am also taking the fact that Bloomberg reported the flag being at half-staff in their story about Trump’s reaction to his indictment as an indication it was for him, not the school shooting. Bloomberg has far more resources than we do here at Flare, and if the flag was lowered for the school shooting, I would think Bloomberg would have reported it as such.

Also, Forbes reported the flag was lowered AFTER the indictment. So yeah, Trump lowered the flag for himself, but not for the people killed in Nashville on March 27th, three of whom were just children. Pardon my French, but Trump is one sick fuck.

Take a look at this:

Additionally, according to the Guardian, “Weekend events at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, were suspended on Friday as the former president was “huddling” with his attorneys after being blindsided by the grand jury indictment handed up against him after payments to the porn star Stormy Daniels.”

I’m dying. And this is the sign that makes me believe Trump is a little worried, because cancelling events will cost him money. If there were weddings scheduled, etc., that’s a lot of money down the drain and a really crappy thing to do to a couple expecting to get married at Mar-a-Lago today. Even if they are MAGAts, it’s an awful thing to do.

Still, flags at half-staff, because Trump sees his indictment, for paying off an adult-film star while his wife was home nursing their infant child, as the “death of America.”

And people on Twitter couldn’t stop laughing:
