Eric Trump Races to Delete Tweet About E. Jean Carroll After Judge Admonished Him For It — Luckily We Got a Screenshot

It was only a day ago that Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg brought a motion before the judge in the Trump civil rape trial.

The motion requested the judge to order Trump not to release any of the evidence that would be used against him in the trial. The prosecutors feared for the safety of witnesses and other intimidation and influence.

The motion was necessary because, in any criminal proceeding, the prosecutors must hand over all evidence they have to the defendant. They worried Trump would publish it, putting lives in danger.

It sounds to us like Eric Trump tweeted, for a short time, something of the type that the prosecutors didn’t want “out there.”

From Newsweek:

Eric Trump, the son of former President Donald Trump, appeared to delete a post on social media discussing the ongoing civil lawsuit of defamation and rape filed by E. Jean Carroll, after a warning by the judge overseeing the case.

Trump has denied the allegations and accused the former Elle magazine columnist of lying.

The post by Eric Trump, which has since been deleted, discussed the funding of Carroll’s lawsuit against the former president and screenshots of the post showed that it said: “Zoom out: Jean Carroll’s legal battle against my father is allegedly being FUNDED by political activist Reid Hoffman (co-founder of Linkedin). A civil lawsuit, being funded by a billionaire, with no direct involvement in the case, out of pure hatred, spite or fear of a formidable candidate, is an embarrassment to our country, should be illegal and tells you everything you need to know about the case at hand.”

If Trump wanted to make inferences about nefarious activity by way of noting who paid for whose attorneys, Donald Trump would be in a shitload of trouble.

Trump or some “Trump entity” paid for a lawyer for all 12 alternate electors in Georgia and – SURPRISE! – NONE of the alternate electors heard that there were immunity deals offered to anyone who cooperated a YEAR ago. They were expended again last week.

Trump paid for Cassidy Hutchinson’s original attorney and she didn’t make waves. Then she paid for her own (surely worried that she might be blamed for something illegal) and SURPRISE! The new attorney helped ensure Cassidy would get immunity by dumping everything.

So Eric better be careful about trying to make this trial political. The judge doesn’t see it as political. He has two parties making two assertions. That’s it. He wants to be fair to both parties and doesn’t want to play games.

Eric better stop or next time he won’t be warned.
