Fresh after shouting at Congress to “investigate the political witch hunts” against him and getting bent out of shape over Hunter Biden’s “slap on the wrist” for tax and firearm infractions, Donald Trump has suddenly become unusually quiet.

And according to one person with knowledge of the disgraced ex-president, who has been hitting the links at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club, said “It is so quiet over there… The mood has been a bit sour lately.”

Perhaps Trump is finally learning…after all these years. But as his legal problems increase, legal experts have been telling him he needs to talk less, especially since that interview with Fox News host Bret Baier earlier this week could turn disastrous for him.

The former president has continually proclaimed his innocence on social media and in television interviews while the ongoing investigation into his alleged mishandling of classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago, OK! Magazine reports.

But attorney Ty Cobb, who formerly worked for Trump when he was President, said that telling Baier he was “too busy” to sort through the boxes of classified documents he’d taken from the White House, noted this was a phenomenally bad idea. Cobb said Trump is doing more harm than good for himself.

“Trump gave the government an enormous gift [in that Fox interview], and they will be able to use what he said to assist them in proving the former president’s intent as to virtually all the charges in the Mar-a-Lago indictment,” Cobb said. “And they’ll have more of those, because they won’t be able to keep him quiet.

Not long after his interview with Baier, Trump turned all shouty on Truth Social to once again proclaim his innocence following his 37-count indictment.

“CONGRESS, PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE POLITICAL WITCH HUNTS AGAINST ME CURRENTLY BEING BROUGHT BY THE CORRUPT DOJ AND FBI, WHO ARE TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL,” he raged. “THIS CONTINUING SAGA IS RETRIBUTION AGAINST ME FOR WINNING AND, EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY TO THEM, ELECTION INTERFERENCE REGARDING THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. IT WILL BE THERE UPDATED FORM OF RIGGING OUR MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION. LOOK AT THE POLLS – THEY CAN’T BEAT ME (MAGA!) AT THE BALLOT BOX, THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN WIN IS TO CHEAT. STOP THEM NOW!”

He was also none too happy to hear about Hunter Biden’s “sweetheart” plea deal to avoid jail time.

“Wow! The corrupt Biden DOJ just cleared up hundreds of years of criminal liability by giving Hunter Biden a mere ‘traffic ticket.’ Our system is BROKEN!” Trump fumed on Truth Social.

One source noted: “The wrist-slap just made Trump very mad… He truly believes there’s a two-tier system of justice, and that he is being unfairly targeted.”

I don’t know if there’s a “two-tiered” system of justice, but while it’s nice if Trump is now keeping quiet, but for criminy’s sake, the man has implicated himself maybe dozens of times if not more. If nothing else, he should face the heat over the January 6 Capitol attack — he called for this after all.

His bill for all the harm he’s caused in this country is long overdue.
