Conservatives Believe They Have Smoking Gun: Share Video of Hunter Biden ‘Sniffing’ at White House

Conservative social media users are in their glory right now, continually sharing a video with claims that it portrays Hunter Biden “sniffing” an unknown substance at the White House. But as Newsweek notes, that sure isn’t obvious from the images.

These unverified claims come right after the White House was evacuated when cocaine was discovered in the West Wing.

Dang it, I’m never where the party is!

Anyway, Newsweek reached out to the White House via email for comment and to a legal firm that has represented the son of President Joe Biden in the past.

The fun started when Steve Guest, a former communications adviser to Texas Senator Ted Cruz, posted a video showing the Biden family at the White House for a Fourth of July event. He asked followers to provide their own captions. And of course, this prompted other Twitter users to share the video and a number of people suggested it showed Hunter Biden snorting coke.

The video above doesn’t show any evidence that Hunter is using anything, but perhaps conservatives were just having a slow day because enough of them certainly responded.

Twitter user Team USA wondered “Is Hunter Biden sniffing something here?”

“Patriot” and “anti-woke” (read: conservative) Rogan O’Handley also shared the video and wrote, “Nothing to see here. Just a video of Hunter Biden allegedly doing a bump of cocaine at the White House in front of Children. But don’t worry — the media said the bag of blow found at the WH wasn’t Hunter’s!”

Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service, told Newsweek Monday that the cocaine was discovered in the White House by officials with the Uniformed Division of the Secret Service while they were conducting routine checks throughout the building. An additional source involved with the investigation previously told Newsweek that the cocaine was found in a “work area” of the White House’s West Wing.

Officials haven’t said who left the cocaine in the West Wing, but a number of social media users wisecracked that it could be connected to Hunter Biden. He’s admitted in the past to have been addicted to crack and cocaine. And plenty of other social media users also claimed the video could be showing the younger Biden using coke.

“WOW — Check out this video footage of Hunter Biden sniffing something near children during the 4th of July party at the White House. What other footage of Hunter Biden is the White House hiding from the American people?” Twitter user The Trump Train asked.

Conservative commentator Ian Miles Cheong shared the clip and wondered “What’s Hunter doing? Is that what I think it is?”

And Twitter user Matt Wallace turned all shouty: NEW VIDEO APPEARS TO SHOW HUNTER BIDEN SNIFFING COCAINE IN FRONT OF KIDS AT THE WHITE HOUSE.”

I don’t know what some of these silly people are on about. I find it difficult to believe that Hunter Biden would partake in this right in front of his parents and a bunch of other people, much less right in front of the cameras. He’d have to be not too sharp to do this, and this is a man who has a BA from Georgetown University and a JD from Yale University. He’s no dummy.

The video that shows the alleged questionable behavior lasts about a second, so it seems to me that a lot of conservatives have far too much time on their hands to get all exercised over this.

In a word, silly.
