Crazy MAGA Pastor Warns if You Take Your Daughters to See ‘Barbie’ You Will Turn Them ‘Into the Lesbians’

Another day, another MAGA pastor having a cow over the recently released Barbie movie.

This time it’s pastor Shane Vaughn, who is warning people that it will turn their daughters “into the lesbians.”

“We’re living in a world that hates men, especially white men, and they hate patriarchy, they hate the head of the house. It’s toxic feminism…and this is what the ‘Barbie movie promotes,” Vaughn said in a video posted on Twitter by RightWingWatch. “The hatred of men, turning men into boy toys, emasculating men, while they rule.”

“There is a spirit that if you take your daughters or your granddaughters to watch this movie, you are turning them into the lesbians,” he added.

Oh my Dog, he makes that sound like a horror movie. I picture a movie poster with Meghan Rapinoe and Sue Bird with writing above their heads that says “The Lesbians—They’ll Make You Eat Ben & Jerry’s.”

I mean, what’s the world coming to? We can’t have people doing what they should have been able to do from the very beginning, leaving them angry white men all befuddled and such.

Vaughn’s comments come just after the Barbie movie, directed by Greta Gerwig, was released in theaters. Shortly after the movie “came out” (get it, haha, “came out,” I’m such a Card) many right-wing men voiced their discontent, including commentator Ben Shapiro, who called the movie “woke” and then did a weird Barbie barbecue. Feel emasculated much, Ben baby?

Then there’s Jack Posobiec, a conservative commentator with ties to white supremacy who is quite the Trump fancier. He shared a video on Twitter featuring Ryan Gosling’s character Ken, singing a song in the movie. It stirred him to write “Here is Ken singing about ‘blonde fragility’ in the insanely woke new Barbie.”

“This is possibly the most anti-male film ever mad,” he wrote, likely not noticing the irony of misspelling ‘made.’

And Ginger Luckey, the wife of Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, who wrote on Twitter, “The 2023 Barbie movie, unfortunately, neglects to address any notion of faith or family, and tries to normalize the idea that men and women can’t collaborate positively (yuck).”

In another tweet, Ginger added that Gosling had “major beta energy” in the Barbie film.

Elon Musk also had to get a shot in.

“It [sic] you take a shot every time Barbie says the word ‘patriarchy,’ you will pass out before the movie ends.”

All that tweet proves is that you don’t have to be smart to be a billionaire or Twitter CEO.

And Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz had to add his two cents (which is about all anything he ever says is worth), saying, “There’s a scene in Barbie where there’s this map of the world…and they’ve drawn what are called the nine dashes…this is Chinese communist propaganda,” the Daily Signal reported. I’ll have to take him at his word here, which I already said how much that’s worth.

Fortunately, not everyone dissed the movie. New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez smacked down the naysayers on the Threads app, saying “Love how Republican Congressmen are just now hating on Barbie because she’s ‘too woke’…like hello this was a doll made for little girls who was a DOCTOR and an ASTRONAUT before women in the US were even allowed to have credit cards without their husband’s permission.”

“Of course they’re mad! They want the old days back,” Ocasio-Cortez noted.

And all the conservative hoo-ha over the movie has puzzled Whoopi Goldberg, who should be used to right-wing nonsense by now, but this inspired her to tweet:

“It’s a movie about a doll! I thought y’all would be happy, she has no genitalia so there’s no sex involved… it’s a doll movie, I’m shocked that’s what’s freaking you out these days.”

Dear angry white men, guess what? Women, people of all colors, all religions, or lack thereof, are sick of your whining. You have been interrupting us for too long. Sit down, shut up, and listen!”

It’s our turn now.

Oh, and just because, here are a couple of Vaughn’s mugshots:
