Kari Lake Thinks She’s Just SO IMPORTANT to the Country That Hillary Clinton Might Try to Kill Her

This is one of those stories where I have to ask “What the hell is wrong with Kari Lake?” I mean, really. The woman lost the Arizona Governor’s race last November to Democrat Katie Hobbes, and like her idol, Donald Trump has fought this with a litany of lawsuits that got her absolutely nowhere. The woman is nuttier than a PayDay bar and far less tasteful.

Now Lake has alluded to Hillary Clinton in a recent interview, appearing to imply that she was worried for her life after the former First Lady and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate referenced her during the 2022 election cycle, Newsweek reports.

The horse race between Hobbes and GOPer Lake came down to the wire last November, with the Democrat winning by a slim margin — 17,000 votes — and that’s what spawned the insane number of ineffective lawsuits that got Lake absolutely nowhere,

Lake said she still plans to keep fighting the defeat in court but she’s also considering running for U.S. Senate.

Ugh.

During the interview with retired Army Colonel Conrad Reynolds on Wednesday, Lake trotted out this patently ridiculous comment:

“Hillary Clinton started talking about me. First I laughed at that and then I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, this is not funny. Hillary Clinton’s talking about me.”

“Then I said, listen, I’m in perfect health,” she continued. “The brakes on my car have been checked and they’re in working order, and I am not suicidal. When the Clintons start talking about you, you kind of tense up a little.”

These comments seem to me like an obvious reference to the suicide of Vince Foster because his death has been the subject of conspiracy theories everywhere.

And of course, while Hillary Clinton was running in 2016, conservatives dragged out baseless rumors of violence, especially Fox News and Sean Hannity, who continually promoted the conspiracy theory surrounding former Democratic National Committee (DNC) staffer, Seth Rich. The 27-year-old computer voting specialist was shot to death in Washington, D.C. just prior to Clinton being confirmed as the Democratic Party’s nominee. Fox News, Hannity, and other conservative outlets kept promoting theories that Rich was in contact with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and other controversial figures before he was killed.

Before being unceremoniously dumped by Fox News, Tucker Carlson was also playing this dumb game, discussing them on his show last year. The theories have been debunked as being part of a phony “bulletin” circulated by Russian intelligence.

During her interview, Lake discussed her 2022 campaign and talked about being the subject of verbal attacks by Clinton, former President Barack Obama, and “Soros-funded” news sites. George Soros is a billionaire businessman and Democratic political financier.

Video of the conversation was removed by YouTube on Friday, although clips of Lake speaking to Reynolds can still be found on Twitter and other websites.

Lake continues to weigh her legal and political options, to perhaps run for other officers, and oddsmakers have raised her chances of being a vice presidential selection in the unfortunate event that Donald Trump becomes the GOP nominee in 2024.

All we can do is hope neither of these failed candidates gets the nod, although I’m almost certain that Ron DeSantis would be a worse president than Trump. DeSantis has indicated that with his racism, and virulent disgust of LGBTQ+ people.

My, my aren’t we living in fun times, folks?
