Josh Hawley Just Received Some Really Bad News and it Couldn’t Have Happened to a Better Traitor

Sen. Josh Hawley recently announced his 2024 reelection campaign, but he just received some rather unpleasant news that means he’ll have a fight on his hands if he expects to keep his seat.

A recent poll shows the LGBTQ+ averse lawmaker has lost some ground among Missouri voters, according to Queerty. The survey, conducted by Saint Louis University and YouGov, shows that voters in the state are almost evenly split on whether they want to send the fleet-footed senator back to Washington, D.C.

The survey polled 900 people and was conducted between July 27 and August 8. It found that 47 percent of respondents said they approved of the job Hawley was doing, compared to 45 percent who said they disapproved. Another 8 percent reported they weren’t sure.

These are not confidence-inspiring numbers. But confidence isn’t something Hawley inspires in most people capable of thinking critically.

That photograph of him raising a fist in solidarity with the rioting mob outside the Capitol building on January 6 is forever burnished into the national psyche. And so is that GIF of him running away like a scared lemming after the mob breached the building and he realized his life was in danger.

This inspired a meme or two, set to music.

And the field of Democrats gearing up to give the senator, whose latest book Manhood was panned when it was released in May, a run for his money keeps growing.

The list of Democratic hopefuls includes former Marine Lucas Kunce, who lost his bed for the Senate last year, along with state Sen. Karla May, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell, and community activist December Harmon.

The Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate in Missouri is scheduled for August 6, 2024.

This may be a time of reckoning for Hawley, and it couldn’t be happening to a nicer guy. He’s as anti-LGBTQ+ as senators get, having opposed the Equality Act. He’s against protections for gay and transgender workers and same-sex couples fostering children, and he co-sponsored a bill prohibiting trans kids from participating in sports.

Queerty notes Hawley continually b*tches about “cancel culture” and complains about the abuse of straight, white, cis men, which is, of course, not remotely happening enough. Because really, these “men” still continue to trample our lives and our rights. And Hawley has never met a conservative media outlet where he couldn’t continually spew vitriolic bile whenever he gets the chance.

“Oh, and he had that really dumb podcast that he co-hosted with his equally awful wife Erin about promoting ‘traditional family values.'”

And here’s a fun photo of Hawley the wine connoisseur browsing for wine that he doesn’t want us to see, with some funny writing by X user Kyle Garner.

I say it’s time for a new, Democratic senator in Missouri. Bye, Josh. Don’t let the door hit you in the butt while you’re running through it.
